Cool tBLOG quotes:

"Soldiers dying in Iraq are dying to defend the US against terrorism as a victory in Iraq is a victory in the war on terror. They are dying to defend freedom and democracy in the US and to spread freedom and democracy to Iraq. They are dying for the interests of the US, her allies, and by extension, all Americans (whether they understand it or not). They are not dying for Haliburton, oil, or any other ridiculous shit / slant the anti-war types or conspiracy theorists want to spin. Haliburton is a company (among many others, both US and foreign) that seized a chance to profit in REBUILDING Iraq. There is a big difference between that and war-profiteering. Haliburton did not start the war, terrorists and those that support them did. Putting the chicken before the egg just won’t fly." -polymath

I'm Glad Michael Moore is Watching Out For Us
10.31.04 (2:51 pm)   [edit]

And by us, I mean the half of the country that thinks Kerry is somehow fit for command.

http://www.canada.com/entertainment/story.html?id=a6fd80a3-3a9b-4b2 5-8a1a-9bd56826a0a1" title="http://www.canada.com/entertainment/story.html?id=a6fd80a3-3a9b-4b2 5-8a1a-9bd56826a0a1" target="_blank"http://www.canada.com/enterta...

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Filmmaker Michael Moore plans to have hundreds of cameras outside polling places in Ohio and Florida on the U.S. election day to watch for attempts to suppress voter turnout.

The director of the documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 announced Saturday a total of 1,200 professional and non-professional cameramen, filmmakers and videographers will bring their cameras to polling places in the two presidential battleground states, especially in minority communities.

"I'm putting those who intend to suppress the vote on notice: Voter intimidation and suppression will not be tolerated," Moore said in a statement.

Moore, who was in Columbus for a rally Saturday night, plans visits to Ohio and Florida on Tuesday, his publicist Terri Hardesty said.

Polls in both states indicate the race between President George W. Bush and U.S. Senator John Kerry is too close to call.

There have been voting problems already in Florida, where 537 votes tipped the state and the presidency to Bush in 2000. In Ohio, Democrats are fighting Republican attempts to challenge voter registrations.

No doubt he will find plenty of acts of voter intimidation, and there will no doubt be a movie on it next year if Bush wins.  But will Moore be fair and balanced and show the voter intimidation by both sides?  Will he find it in his heart to not mislead the American public?  I doubt it, but if Bush wins I could care less how pissed off the liberals get.

And Osama Finally Endorses Kerry
10.29.04 (12:39 pm)   [edit]

Come to think of it, I could also call this an endorsement of Badnarik or Nader.  Osama obviously wants Bush out, and that aint happenin' with them, so I'm calling it a Kerry endorsement.

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pag ename=JPost/JPArticle/Sho wFull&" title="http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pag ename=JPost/JPArticle/Sho wFull&" target="_blank"http://www.jpost.com/servlet/...;cid=1099030762681

His tape is just one big criticism of Bush's War on Terror, which can't help Kerry at all.  Are the American voters going to go to the polls and say to themselves, "Well, Osama did say Bush was handling the War on Terror badly, I better vote for Kerry."  Or do you think they'll say, "What's bad for Osama is good for us, go Bush!"  I'm going to guess the latter.

The biggest question in all this is what Kerry is going to do?  Look at this:

Bin Laden further accused Bush of "misleading" the American people in the years since the 2001 suicide airline hijackings that hit New York's World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.

That is a democrat talking point.  Does Kerry agree?  "Osama is a bad man, but you know what, he's right."  That's political suicide.  Then again, Kerry can't come out against Osama's anti-Bush message because that would be one hell of a flip-flop.

Then you have the threat of terrorism right back front and center without any time for it to wear away.  Bad bad news for Kerry.

Most Decorated U.S. Veteran Calls Kerry a "Benedict Arnold"
10.27.04 (3:34 pm)   [edit]

But he's obviously a lying fascist or something right?

http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41120" title="http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41120" target="_blank"http://worldnetdaily.com/news...

The nation's most highly decorated living veteran told a hometown audience in Sioux City, Iowa, Democratic Party presidential candidate John Kerry "will go down in history as the Benedict Arnold of 1971."

Col. George "Bud" Day, an Air Force pilot who spent 67 months in a North Vietnamese prison and was awarded the Medal of Honor among other decorations, visited Sioux City to campaign against Kerry.

"The notion that his guy would think he is qualified to be president of the United States when he has already pledged his allegiance to North Vietnam makes absolute zero sense,'' Day told the Sioux City Journal. "My view is he basically will go down in history sometime as the Benedict Arnold of 1971.''

Day said Kerry dishonored the country by accusing his fellow veterans of war crimes and atrocities and for meeting with America's communist enemy leaders in Paris.

While Kerry was denouncing U.S. troops for "war crimes," Day was brutally tortured by his North Vietnamese captors. He is one of several former POWs featured in some of the latest Swift Boat Veterans for Truth TV ads. The anti-Kerry group has spent more than $10 million trying to subvert Kerry's chances of becoming president. In one of the spots, running in key battleground states, Day directly addresses Kerry: "How can you expect our sons and daughters to follow you, when you condemned their fathers and grandfathers?"

Once again, the "AWOL" Bush was picked over the "War hero" Kerry.  Poor democrats, the only reason you chose Kerry was because he had a war record, but that sure blew up in your face.

Fresh, New Documents Say Kerry Being Directed by Hanoi
10.27.04 (3:27 pm)   [edit]

Can anyone say October suprise?  And you thought there was nothing more that could possibly be wrong with Kerry's Vietnam past.  Well, it seems that Kerry and his VVAW may have been directly steered by Hanoi.

http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41106" title="http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41106" target="_blank"http://worldnetdaily.com/news...

The first documentary evidence that Vietnamese communists were directly steering John Kerry's antiwar group Vietnam Veterans Against the War has been discovered in a U.S. archive, according to a researcher who spoke with WorldNetDaily.

One freshly unearthed document, captured by the U.S. from Vietnamese communists in 1971 and later translated, indicates the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese delegations to the Paris peace talks that year were used as the communications link to direct the activities of Kerry and other antiwar activists who attended.

It goes on, but I'm not going to quote it all, so you'll want to take a look at that.

Here's the thing, I don't think anyone cares.  The Swift Boat vets already exposed Kerry, so I don't think this will have an effect on anyone but Veterans, who are already favoring Bush by quite a bit.  Of course, not even they will hear it unless one of the major news networks picks it up and Kerry decides to respond.  If Kerry responds to this allegation, it'll bring way too much attention to the issue and he'll lose the election, so we can only pray.

There Will Be No Riots if Kerry/Edwards Win
10.25.04 (8:13 pm)   [edit]

Think of that as their new slogan.

http://www.drudgereport.com/dncee.htm" title="http://www.drudgereport.com/dncee.htm" target="_blank"http://www.drudgereport.com/d...

EDWARDS WIFE: NO RIOTS IF WE WIN

The wife of Dem vice presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday there will be no riots around the election -- if Kerry/Edwards wins!

C-SPAN cameras captured spouse Elizabeth Edwards making the startling comments to a supporter during a Kerry Campaign Town Hall Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Supporter: Kerry's going to take PA.

Liz Edwards: I know that.

Supporter: I'm just worried there's going to be riots afterwards.

Liz Edwards: Uh.....well...not if we win.

DRUDGE presents an audio clip of the exchange.

She says something after that, but it sounds to me like, "not if we win, we're gonna cut off da cha."  Since I have to decipher it, I believe Mrs. Edwards is saying one of 3 things.

1.  The Kerry/Edwards administration will create an environment in which people will love eachother and respect public property so much that rioting is impossible.

2.  The Kerry/Edwards campaign has riots planned in the event of a Bush victory.

3.  Republicans, unlike democrats, do not engage in civil disobedience.

I think the most likely of the 3 is that she knows liberals are violent and will riot, of course, it's not like we didn't already know that.

Whoa, When Did Hawaii Move Into the Bush Column?
10.23.04 (5:42 pm)   [edit]

Didn't Gore win this state by almost 20 points?

http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2004/Oct/23/l n/ln05p.html" title="http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2004/Oct/23/l n/ln05p.html" target="_blank"http://the.honoluluadvertiser...

President Bush and Sen. John Kerry are deadlocked among likely voters in Hawai'i, a surprising boost for the Republican president in a state that many Democrats had considered safe for Kerry.

The findings of the Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Poll suggest that Hawai'i's four electoral votes are in play with just over a week to go before the election. Nationally, other opinion polls have found that Bush and Kerry are essentially tied for the popular vote.

The Hawai'i Poll, taken among 600 likely voters statewide between Oct. 13 and Monday, had Bush at 43.3 percent and Kerry at 42.6 percent. The margin of error was 4 percentage points.

A large number of voters, 12 percent, said they were still undecided, giving supporters of both candidates hope during the final days of the campaign.

With the race so close, Hawai'i could be a factor in the election, which could energize get-out-the-vote drives across the Islands and increase voter turnout.

Although the candidates have concentrated mostly on large swing states such as Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania, smaller states such as Iowa and New Hampshire — with seven and four electoral votes, respectively — have been important parts of the puzzle because many voters there are undecided. The winner needs 270 electoral votes.

"It is shocking," said Greg Gaydos, an associate professor of political science at Hawai'i Pacific University. "I'd say it's very bad news for Kerry if he's tied in a state like Hawai'i."

Hawai'i's strong Democratic tradition still makes the state favorable for Kerry, several political analysts said, but the Massachusetts Democrat has yet to capitalize even though many voters here appear uncomfortable with Bush over the war in Iraq.

I'm shocked.  I know it's only 4 electoral votes, so it doesn't really matter, but I'm still shocked.  There's no way candidates are flying all the way to Hawaii to try and win the state, so this'll be interesting.

I'd like to see both the Alaska and Hawaii box on the electoral maps turn red, as well as New Mexico.  If we trade you NH for NM, then the map looks so uniform it's creepy.

Update:

Here's another more recent poll that shows Bush ahead in Hawaii.

http://starbulletin.com/2004/10/24/news/index 2.html" title="http://starbulletin.com/2004/10/24/news/index 2.html" target="_blank"http://starbulletin.com/2004/...

The numbers show a shift in Hawaii voters towards the Republican president. The new poll of 612 registered voters who said they are likely to vote in the election has Bush with a one percent lead. In August, Kerry was leading by seven percentage points.

So I guess Hawaii will make up for a what looks to be a Bush loss in New Hampshire.

You Watching A POW Story?
10.22.04 (8:05 pm)   [edit]

It's on now.  Channel 02 for me, but I don't know what it is for you.  Here's a list.

I'm liking it so far, especially how they show the medals someone won next to their name when they change scenes.

Man, they've got that pro-Kerry vet on there that was shot down on FOX.  The guy was cursing on live television when Hannity started chewing him up.  I can't believe he's one of the most respectable veterans they could get to defend Kerry.

What the mother?  Is this a pro-Kerry film now?  Having followed this story for about 9 months now, I know they are leaving out tons of facts that would hurt Kerry.  I thought the movie was called Stolon Valor something, not [i]A POW Story[/i].  I think I'm watching the rebuttal here.  We'll see.

What's With the Clones?
10.20.04 (8:01 pm)   [edit]

Nuguru, Stephen89703, reductoyerian, flipsidown, flipsidowne, CheckItQut, SpyMastr, and I'm sure there are more.

I don't seem to have one, maybe because people hate me or maybe because I'm not active, but I don't care.  So I have to ask, who is doing this and why?  I first noticed reductoyerian, who I guess isn't really a clone, but close enough.  Then there was flipsidown, who I haven't figured out yet.  After flipsidown, a bunch of others popped up, so I'm guessing flipside is the liberal behind the whole thing.

I'm not stupid.  I won't click on a blog by nuguru because I can read.  I fell for Stephen89703's because I can't remember that series of numbers, but how stupid do you guys think I/we am/are?  I, and I imagine most others, ignore the clones altogether whether we agree with the message or not.  So I don't see the point.  Hopefully this is just a fad.  If you want to screw with people...nevermind, there's no reason to tell those who don't already know.

Bush Stealing the Black Vote
10.19.04 (7:45 pm)   [edit]

So much for Kerry being the second black president.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archive/2004/ 10/19/politics1241EDT0563 .DTL" title="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archive/2004/ 10/19/politics1241EDT0563 .DTL" target="_blank"http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin...

President Bush has doubled his support among blacks in four years and Sen. John Kerry's backing among the key Democratic voting bloc is down slightly from the support Al Gore won in 2000, according to a poll released Tuesday.

The Democratic presidential nominee holds a nearly 4-to-1 margin over Bush in the poll by the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a Washington-based research group that focuses on issues concerning blacks.

Bush got low marks for his handling of the war in Iraq and his overall job performance. The Republican incumbent did gain more support than in 2000 from those age 50 and older and those who consider themselves Christian conservatives.

That helped the president narrow the still sizable gap with Kerry among blacks, who preferred the four-term Massachusetts senator over Bush, 69 percent to 18 percent. The group's poll before the 2000 election found Gore with a 74 percent to 9 percent lead over Bush.

I'm going to credit this rise in Bush's support among blacks to the "Black Bush" segment on Chappell's show.  That was a great skit, but aren't they all?

Just When You Thought Kerry Was Coming Back
10.19.04 (7:39 pm)   [edit]

He fell right back down.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,135932,00.html

NEW YORK — Two weeks before Election Day, President George W. Bush (search) leads Democratic challenger Sen. John Kerry (search) in the race for the White House, according to a FOX News poll released Tuesday. In the days following the final presidential debate, Bush has not only continued to solidify his position with independent voters, but he is also holding his ground with women voters — a traditional Democratic voting group that Kerry needs in his column.

Today Bush has a five-point lead, receiving 48 percent to Kerry's 43 percent among likely voters. When independent candidate Ralph Nader (search) is included he receives 2 percent, Bush 49 percent and Kerry 42 percent. Two weeks ago Bush had a two-point lead over Kerry in the three-way race, and a three-point lead in the head-to-head matchup.

Men are more likely to support Bush over Kerry (51 percent to 41 percent), and women also give a slight edge to the president (47 percent to 45 percent). Married women, a voting group many are watching this year, give their support to Bush (49 percent to 43 percent), while single women support Kerry (49 percent to 41 percent).

By a margin of 52 percent to 34 percent, self-identified independent voters today are backing Bush. This is up from an 11-point advantage the president had among this group two weeks ago.

I wouldn't usually go on FOX alone, but the ABC poll has Bush up by 5, and Gallup just put Bush up by 8.  So I guess Kerry's little debate bounce has officially ended.  I was scared there for a second when Gallup had Kerry ahead, and Rasmussen had them almost tied the other day, but I guess it's not as bad as I thought.

Oil-For-Food Scandal Only on FNC
10.17.04 (4:07 pm)   [edit]

Has anyone else noticed that the Oil-For-Food scandal is only being covered on FNC?  The largest financial scandal in the history of mankind, and only one news network will report on it.  I'm looking at the websites for CNN, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC, and not a single one has a front page article on it.  Then you go to FNC and it's one of the big stories, and it has consistently been one of their big stories.  Do I detect some liberal bias?  I would just expect that the LARGEST FINANCIAL SCANDAL in history would be reported on.

On a slightly different note, I hate Geraldo Rivera.

Military Overwhelmingly Supports Bush
10.16.04 (2:04 pm)   [edit]

So my liberal friends, what do you have to say to that?  If what you're saying is true, and Bush is murdering our men and women in uniform, then they should be voting Kerry right?  If this was the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, they should be voting Kerry right?  If this backdoor draft thing really held any weight, they should be voting Kerry right?  If most the people serving over there were poor blacks, like Moore wants us to believe, shouldn't they be voting Kerry?

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6256473/" title="http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6256473/" target="_blank"http://msnbc.msn.com/id/62564...

Survey shows Bush support
Mehlman and Josefiak made their comments about military voters as a new University of Pennsylvania National Annenberg Election Survey showed most military personnel and family members have a favorable view of Bush.

Sixty-nine percent of the military personnel and family members interviewed by Annenberg had a favorable opinion of Bush, while 23 percent had an unfavorable opinion. Only 29 percent saw Kerry favorably, while 54 percent were unfavorable.

From Sept. 22 through Oct. 5, Annenberg polled 655 adults who have either served on active duty between February and October or who were relatives of those who served. Their answers were compared to the responses of 2,436 adults interviewed by Annenberg.

The survey found that 94 percent of the military sample intends to vote in the presidential election, compared to 85 percent of the civilian population.

Nearly two-thirds of the Annenberg military sample said the Iraq situation had been worth going to war over, while 32 percent said it had not. In the general population, 45 percent said the war had been worth it; 51 percent said it had not.

The poll of 655 in the active military and their families was taken Sept. 22-Oct. 5 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

You see that?  The people on the front lines know this war is worthwhile.  The people on the front lines know what it takes to win this war, and they know which candidate will finish the job.

Here's a comment I got from jesusisangry months back:

"personaly i think conserverties live like kings. The like to send other people to die for there cause or they value. Some times i wonder if they were ever expereince struggle and experience what is like to suffer? I think the only they will learn is they learn about directly i am for a draft. I would like to see these people who talk like warriors fight like warriors. But i think they bribe there why out of combat. Why becasuse they have the most to lose. But in reality the worse person to fight is the person with nothing to lose. Is that why all you conservatives live away from the cities in suburbs? How does it feel to be prisioner in your community? You won't travel to the city? why are you afraid you are goint to get robbed or murdered? Why are conservatives afraid? Please explain this to me?"

I wonder what he has to say about the majority of servicemen being conservative?

John Kerry is Decieving Ameirca With His Hair Color

I just noticed this, and unfortunately also noticed that google image search turns up porn when you search for Kerry without safe search.

Aye, the picture won't show up, so you'll have to see it here.

I was going to just post this in my other blog, but I care so much about ya'll, I thought you deserved to know.

Did John Kerry Recieve a Dishonorable Discharge?
10.15.04 (5:43 pm)   [edit]

He very well could have.

http://daily.nysun.com/Repository/getmailfil es.asp?Style=OliveXLib" title="http://daily.nysun.com/Repository/getmailfil es.asp?Style=OliveXLib" target="_blank"http://daily.nysun.com/Reposi...:ArticleToMail&Type=t ext/html&Path=NYS/200 4/10/13&ID=Ar00106

Mr. Colson refused to answer any questions about his activities regarding Mr. Kerry during his time in the Nixon White House. The secretary of the Navy at the time during the Nixon presidency is the current chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Warner. A spokesman for the senator, John Ullyot, said, “Senator Warner has no recollection that would either confirm or challenge any representation that Senator Kerry received a less than honorable discharge.”

T he “board of officers” review reported in the Claytor document is even more extraordinary because it came about “by direction of the President.” No normal honorable discharge requires the direction of the president. The president at that time was James Carter. This adds another twist to the story of Mr. Kerry’s hidden military records.

M r. Carter’s first act as president was a general amnesty for draft dodgers and other war protesters. Less than an hour after his inauguration on January 21, 1977, while still in the Capitol building, Mr. Carter signed Executive Order 4483 empowering it. By the time it became a directive from the Defense Department in March 1977 it had been expanded to include other offenders who may have had general, bad conduct, dishonorable discharges, and any other discharge or sentence with negative effect on military records. In those cases the directive outlined a procedure for appeal on a case by case basis before a board of officers. A satisfactory appeal would result in an improvement of discharge status or an honorable discharge.

M r. Kerry has repeatedly refused to sign Standard Form 180, which would allow the release of all his military records. And some of his various spokesmen have claimed that all his records are already posted on his Web site. But the Washington Post already noted that the Naval Personnel Office admitted that they were still withholding about 100 pages of files.

I f Mr.Kerry was the victim of a Nixon “enemies list” hit, one might have expected him to wear it like a badge of honor, like many others such as his friend Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers, CBS’s Daniel Schorr, or the actor Paul Newman, who had made Mr. Colson’s original list of 20 “enemies.”

T here are a number of categories of discharges besides honorable. There are general discharges, medical discharges, bad conduct discharges,as well as other than honorable and dishonorable discharges. There is one odd coincidence that gives some weight to the possibility that Mr. Kerry was dishonorably discharged. Mr. Kerry has claimed that he lost his medal certificates and that is why he asked that they be reissued. But when a dishonorable discharge is issued, all pay benefits, and allowances, and all medals and honors are revoked as well. And five months after Mr. Kerry joined the U.S.Senate in 1985,on one single day, June 4, all of Mr. Kerry’s medals were reissued.

Interesting.  I'm starting to wonder how much more could possibly be wrong with Kerry's military past.  He was an admitted war criminal, he accused his fellow veterans of committing widespread war crimes, he lied about his Purple Hearts, Cambodia, etc., he was AWOL in the reserves, and now he might have been dishonorably discharged.  I don't know what I would do if the democrats had picked someone without a military record.

Anti-Kerry Film to Air on Television
10.12.04 (7:54 pm)   [edit]

I probably didn't have to add television, but I had to make sure you got that point.  I'd probably even watch Moore's movie if it was on TV, so this should get huge ratings as long as enough hype is built up.  Knowing my luck, it probably won't be played where I am, but it's not like I don't know what Kerry did.  Oh, and O'Reilly says it's being aired commercial free.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,135228,00.html

NEW YORK — Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign blasted a decision by the Sinclair Broadcast Group (search) to air a documentary on Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activism, but a Sinclair official vowed to move forward Tuesday.

The flap is over a one-hour program — "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal (search)" — featuring former prisoners of war accusing Kerry, a decorated veteran who took up the anti-war cause upon returning from Vietnam, of prolonging the war and worsening their plight.

"If anybody has earned the right to speak about their experiences in Vietnam, it's these men," Sinclair Vice President Mark Hyman (search) told FOX News. "They suffered unspeakable horrors. They earned the right to be heard."

The program likely will be broadcast between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24, depending on the city. According to Sinclair's Web site, the company has some connection to 62 stations from all the broadcast networks — FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, UPN and the WB — in 39 markets and reaches 24 percent of U.S. television households.

I like the way Clinton put it.

"They're trying to get a 90-minute political spot paid for, for nothing," he said. "It makes me so mad, I want to throw my boot through the TV set."

I think this is pretty cheap, but so is Moore trying to get his movie on pay-per-view the night before the election.

We all know how bad John Kerry is at defending his record.  Like when the Swifties had gotten to him so much he was taking everything anybody said as an attack on his patriotism, remember the incoherent midnight tirade?

Here's the best part, I don't think this is even about Kerry's military service, but instead his anti-war activities.  There's nothing Kerry can say to that other than, "I'm sorry."

I am almost positive this will kill the Kerry campaign if any of the major news networks start talking about it.  They should, you saw what they did with the Swift Boat ads.  If 527 commercials can get their attention, a 1 hour film on the same thing being aired in 24% of America should get them talking.  If I were Kerry right now, I would be pissed.

Kerry's Numbers Just Don't Add Up, Ask Edwards
10.10.04 (8:03 pm)   [edit]

At least one of them finally admitted they wouldn't be able to fulfill their campain promises.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,134978,00.html

And I would add at the end of all that, John Kerry and I have made absolutely clear, Chris, that we have made this commitment. We are going to meet our commitment. And what that means is, if we have to scale something back, we will scale it back. And we are committed to doing that, and John Kerry's made that commitment.

That's after he gets done with his outrageous claims of being able to raise hundreds of billions by eliminating unnecessary corporate welfare.  But Kerry can't come even close to fulfilling his promises, without breaking the one about not raising taxes on the middle class.

http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/newsevents/cite_kerry _math.cfm" title="http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/newsevents/cite_kerry _math.cfm" target="_blank"http://www.taxpolicycenter.or...

Even with that generous accounting, the Kerry spending promises add up to an extraordinary amount of money. Our best estimate is that Kerry's proposals will add up to between $2 trillion and $2.1 trillion over the next ten years. Since the revenue from his tax proposals relative to the current baseline is actually negative, this implies that the Kerry proposal would increase the deficit by perhaps as much as $2.5 trillion over the next ten years.

On August 3, 2004, the Kerry campaign responded to criticisms such as this with a revised budget plan. The main difference between the first and second plans is that the campaign now claims to be able to save about $300 billion from eliminating corporate welfare. Even if we include this rather implausible savings in our estimate, the net increase in the deficit associated with Kerry's proposals is on the order of $2.2 trillion.

What would he spend the money on? According to our analysis, roughly half of this additional spending is attributable to Senator Kerry's health care proposals that would add more than $900 billion in federal outlays. Education expenditure accounts for nearly one quarter of Kerry's new spending, with almost $500 billion added over ten years. A $400 billion expansion of military personnel and benefits for veterans comprises most of the remainder of Kerry's spending plans, with the balance distributed among numerous social programs and increases in international aid.

While making all of these promises, Kerry and his surrogates repeatedly have made the claim that they will restore fiscal discipline if elected. They have also promised to adopt a "pay as you go" rule that will guarantee deficit reductions. But they do this at the same time that they promise voters the moon and the stars. It is time for them to state exactly which of Senator Kerry's promises are no longer valid, or stop all of the warm and fuzzy embraces of deficit reduction. They cannot have it both ways. Our just-released paper has highly specific scores for each of his proposals. Perhaps the Kerry team can tell us which ones are incorrect.

That will not happen for two reasons. First, the numbers are correct. Second, the media appear uninterested in the substance of his proposals, or the fact that they are catastrophically inconsistent. Perhaps, now that both the spending and tax sides have been carefully scrutinized by outside economists, the substance will begin to seep into the popular discourse. If it does, Kerry will have some explaining to do.

Ignore the date, I'm guessing they typed a 2 instead of a 4.  Anybody know where I can find John Kerry's proposed budget plan?

Bush-Hating Masses Abroad Reelect Staunch Bush Ally
10.09.04 (1:53 pm)   [edit]

After hearing all this crap from liberals, you'd think there was no way any Bush supporter could ever win reelection overseas.

Australia's ruling Liberal National coalition led by Prime Minister John Howard, 65, won a fourth term in the general election Saturday, report agencies.

The Opposition Labor Party led by Mark Latham, 43, conceded defeat after it lost traditional seats in the island state of Tasmania and key marginal seats in other parts of the country.

The ruling coalition achieved an overall swing of 2.13 percent of votes on a two-party basis.

Exit polls predicted the ruling coalition would increase its number of seats in the 150-member House of Representatives -- from 82 seats to 87.

Labor was predicted to lose at least four seats to get 60, with the three remaining held by independents.

This makes Howard Australia's second longest serving prime minister, after Liberal Party founder Robert Menzies, who remained in office for 17 years from 1949.

There's one country that's going to stay with us in the War on Terror.  Unless you're like Kerry and you refuse to believe that there are Australian troops in Iraq.

We're going to build alliances. We're not going to go unilaterally. We're not going to go alone like this president did. - John Kerry

Bush Pulls 5 Points Ahead
10.09.04 (1:01 pm)   [edit]

As any of you reading my blog lately have noticed, I'm addicted to Rasmussen and ignore all other election polls.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking _Poll.htm" title="http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking _Poll.htm" target="_blank"http://www.rasmussenreports.c...

Saturday October 09, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows President George W. Bush with 50% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 46%. Today is the first time all year that either candidate has hit the 50% mark in our survey.

The Tracking Poll, updated daily by noon Eastern, is based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, more than 95% of the interviews for today's update were completed before the conclusion of last night's Presidential debate.

First time all year!!  I'm happy to see that, especially since a couple days ago they were tied for the first time in a while.  But best of all, this is after Bush's defeat in the last debate and before his victory in this one.  Even if you refuse to believe Bush won this debate, you have to admit he did much better, and if Bush can pull 50% after that last debate, then he'll only go higher after this one.

I spent most of last night half watching the debate, half playing my guitar, so I didn't hear every single word each candidate said, including what Kerry said right before Bush interrupted the moderator.  So I'm sitting there thinking Bush is breaking rules and looking angry while he does it.  I had to look up the transcript just to find out what he was talking about.  After I found out what Kerry said I realized it was justified, and he was allowed to still extend it, but man Bush scared me there for a second.

What to Expect this Debate
10.08.04 (7:47 pm)   [edit]

First off, this debate is going to suck.  We already know exactly what both candidates will say.

Kerry: "Bush is the first president to lose jobs since Herbert Hoover."

Bush: "The have experienced strong growth in the past X months adding X jobs."

I'm curious as to how they're going to pad that out for an hour and a half.  I know Bush has that new little thing about adding more jobs than Germany, Britain, and some other countries combined, but that's about the only new material I've heard in over 6 months.

I like the fact that they aren't allowed to stray off topic, so we can hope Gibson gets one of them pissed.  I just wanna see someone get pissed off!  Is that too much to ask?

I don't know who's gonna win.  Kerry's got to live up to the debate god the democrats have been portraying him as for the past week, and all Bush has to do is not look angry.  But sure enough, Kerry's been preparing, and Bush has been campaigning.

Protesters Swarm Bush/Cheney Headquarters
10.06.04 (4:34 pm)   [edit]

I guess it's not enough that they fire shots into them, now they have to start ransacking Bush/Cheney headquarters.

Protestors Ransack Bush/Cheney Headquarters In Orlando

2 People Receive Minor Injuries During Protest

POSTED: 6:05 pm EDT October 5, 2004

UPDATED: 11:43 am EDT October 6, 2004

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A group of protestors stormed and then ransacked a Bush-Cheney headquarters building in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday, according to Local 6 News.

Local 6 News reported that several people from the group of 100 Orlando protestors face possible assault charges after the group forced their way inside the Republican headquarters office.

While in the building, some of the protestors drew horns and a mustache on a poster of President George W. Bush and poured piles of letters in the office, according to the report.

"We told them to leave, they broke the law," Republican headquarters volunteer Mike Broom said.

Two protestors received minor injuries when the crowd stormed the building, including a Republican volunteer.

One of the protestors said she wanted to send a message.

"We want to send a clear message to Bush, we want him to take his hands off our overtime pay," protestor Esmeralda Heuilar said.

Local 6 News learned that most of the protestors were from the AFL-CIO and were taking part in one of 20 other coordinated protests around the country.

A spokesperson with the AFL-CIO told Local 6 News that the Orlando protest did not go as planned.

A protest similar to Orlando's demonstration was held at a Bush-Cheney office in Miami at the same approximate time, Local 6 News reported.

Just wondering, but how many Kerry/Edwards headquarters' have been ransacked and/or fired at?  How many thousands more protesters were arrested at the Republican National Convention than at the democrats'?  How many inmates vote democrat?  I think I'm seeing a pattern here.

On another note, you can't honestly tell me this isn't one of the best comebacks ever:

John Edwards:...We are for more tax cuts for the middle class than they're for, have been for the last four years. But we are not for more tax cuts for multimillionaires. They are. And it is a fundamental difference in what we think needs to be done in this country.

Gwen Ifill: You have 30 seconds, Mr. Vice President.

Dick Cheney: Yesterday, the president signed an extension of middle- class tax cuts, the 10 percent bracket, the marriage penalty relief and the increase in the child tax credit. Senators Kerry and Edwards weren't even there to vote for it when it came to final passage.

Bush Still Holds Lead
10.05.04 (8:43 pm)   [edit]

I'm almost hoping he drops below Kerry, I need something to get me fired up.  Then again, it's too close to election time to hope for that.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,134525,00.html

NEW YORK — In this year’s sharply divided race for the White House, President George W. Bush continues to hold a slim lead over Democratic challenger Sen. John Kerry, a FOX News poll released Tuesday shows. The president retains his spot as being seen as the stronger leader and the candidate who would do a better job on terrorism, while Kerry makes gains on handling of the economy and health care.

Most voters (79 percent) claim to have seen or heard at least part of Thursday night's presidential debate and by more than four-to-one, debate watchers believe Kerry won (66 percent to 15 percent), with 15 percent saying it was a tie. Almost seven in 10 watchers say the debate gave them a better sense of the candidates.

In this highly polarized time, did the debate move voters' intentions? Not much. By a thin margin, Bush leads Kerry 48 percent to 45 percent today in a head-to-head matchup among likely voters — within the poll's margin of error. In polling conducted in the week prior to the debate, Bush had a two-point edge. When independent candidate Ralph Nader (search) is included, he receives 1 percent, Bush 47 percent and Kerry 45 percent.

Most of you reading that will probably say, "How about that, Bush gained a point after the debate."  But if you're like me, you immediately forgot that part and focused on this:

"When independent candidate Ralph Nader (search) is included, he receives 1 percent, Bush 47 percent and Kerry 45 percent."

What the mother!!!  Kerry stays the same and Bush goes down a point when Nader is factored in??  What is that???  You'll notice I'm restraining myself from using more "colorful" words.  Either FOX couldn't poll if their life depended on it, or I'm missing something.  What conservative in their right mind would vote for Nader over Bush???  Voting Badnarik I can understand, voting Kerry I can learn to accept, but voting Nader?

Let me draw a little something.  Is anyone's else's photobucket account not working?  I keep getting that page asking me to sign up for a premium account.

Can't post the picture, stupid photobucket!

As you can tell by my drawing, in order to get to Nader, you have to pass a handful of other candidates, only 2 of whom I named.  There are all those other losers you could throw away your vote on, so why would they choose Nader?  I'm guessing Kerry sent gremlins to intimidate pollsters into giving results they want, after all, that is the only logical conclusion.

The debates starting so I'm going to go ahead and say something.  I'm not liking this Cheney sitting on the left thing.  Maybe it's because Kerry was on the left or that I'm right handed, whatever the case, I feel more inclined to root for Edwards simply because he's on the right.  I'm talking about my right, not theirs.

What Was on Kerry's Cheat Sheet?
10.04.04 (5:53 pm)   [edit]

Just a little humor and other stuff to add to my previous blog on Kerry cheating at the debates.

Now that I got that out of the way, has anybody seen what the liberals are trying to pass it off as?

http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/312 73.htm" title="http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/312 73.htm" target="_blank"http://www.nypost.com/news/na...

But the mystery was solved when The Post reviewed a Fox News Channel feed from Thursday's debate: Kerry pulled out . . . a black pen.

Now if you're half-blind, this excuse might seem somewhat plausible, but I don't believe most of you are.  Lets take a look at it frame-by-frame.

http://www.zombietime.com/kerry_at_first_debate /" title="http://www.zombietime.com/kerry_at_first_debate /" target="_blank"http://www.zombietime.com/ker...

Look at what's in his hand.  Does it look like a black pen to you?  Because to me it looks a helluva lot like a white piece of paper.  The only other explanation is that Kerry is really white and the pixels turned his hand perfectly straight.

Look back at the movie for a second.

http://www.drudgereport.com/kdn.wmv" title="http://www.drudgereport.com/kdn.wmv" target="_blank"http://www.drudgereport.com/k...

Of course, a having a pen is a violation of the rules, and you'd think Kerry would be informed of that rule.  So it would seem that he brought whatever it is on purpose.

Video Footage Captures Kerry Cheating at the Debate!
10.03.04 (3:32 pm)   [edit]

Oh....my....gah...

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX

DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?

Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?

What did Kerry place on the podium?

Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.

[A tight zoom analysis of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious item his jacket [14 seconds into video, after commerical]. Kerry appears to unfold some sort of paper seconds later, at his podium.]

A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.

"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."

Could Kerry have cheated?? It looks like it, of course the liberals don't care.  This needs to go into a Bush ad.  If this gets out, it's the end of the Kerry campaign.

Anti-Nader Hunger Strike
10.02.04 (9:36 pm)   [edit]

This is how it's supposed to be done.  Not through lawsuits, but a good old fashion hunger strike.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" title="http://www.foxnews.com/story/0" target="_blank"http://www.foxnews.com/story/...,2933,134298,00.html

SANTA MONICA, Calif.  — A peace activist who once fasted for 63 days to protest movie violence and war toys is launching another hunger strike to persuade Ralph Nader (searchto abandon his presidential bid.

Jerry Rubin, 60, said he plans to consume only liquids from Saturday until Nov. 2 if Nader doesn't take a meeting with him.

"I know Ralph Nader and I don't think he's doing the right thing," Rubin said Saturday. He said the consumer advocate's campaign is dividing the progressive political movement.

Burning himself to death might be a little more effective, and who knows, he might end up on the cover of an RAM album.
