Cool tBLOG quotes:

"Soldiers dying in Iraq are dying to defend the US against terrorism as a victory in Iraq is a victory in the war on terror. They are dying to defend freedom and democracy in the US and to spread freedom and democracy to Iraq. They are dying for the interests of the US, her allies, and by extension, all Americans (whether they understand it or not). They are not dying for Haliburton, oil, or any other ridiculous shit / slant the anti-war types or conspiracy theorists want to spin. Haliburton is a company (among many others, both US and foreign) that seized a chance to profit in REBUILDING Iraq. There is a big difference between that and war-profiteering. Haliburton did not start the war, terrorists and those that support them did. Putting the chicken before the egg just won’t fly." -polymath

"[B]efore you [Europeans] write us off as just a bunch of sweaty, hairy-chested, Bible-thumping morons who are more likely to break their fast by dipping a Krispy Kreme into a diet cola than a biscotti into an espresso - and who inexplicably have won more Nobel prizes than all other countries combined, host 25 or 30 of the world's finest universities and five or six of the world's best symphonies, produce wines that win prizes at your own tasting competitions, have built the world's most vibrant economy, are the world's only military superpower and, so to speak in our spare time, have landed on the moon and sent our robots to Mars - may I suggest you stop frothing at the mouth long enough to consider just what are these ideas we hold that you find so silly and repugnant?"

"Democracy may have been invented in Greece, but cowardess was invented in France where it lives and thrives to this very day."

"I'm referring to the Iraqi terrorist bastard fighters. The ones liberals insist are either not in Iraq, or are there by the thousands, depending on which liberal you listen to."

"How is it that the Left can believe absolute crazy shit, like the Bush-Saudi Arabian money connection, or the even worse and totally false Bush-bin Laden connection (based on 100% lies) and look at you straight and say there was absolutely no way that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda had ties?"

Kerry Will Break Into Houses for Votes
03.31.04 (1:09 pm)   [edit]
Documents concerning Kerry's past have been stolen. Nothing else other than the documents was stolen. Certainly makes you wonder.

"It was a very clean burglary. They didn't break any glass. They didn't take anything like cameras sitting by. It was a very professional job," Nicosia said.

Well yeah, the guy is a Kerry supporter, and these are hard core democrats breaking in. The last thing they need is this guy turning against them. The only clues were ketchup stains everywhere...

"I hadn't gotten a chance to review them all. I am sure there were some things about John Kerry that weren't known," Nicosia said. "These files would also cast a bad light on the ... Republican Party. This surveillance happened under the Nixon White House and Nixon FBI."

Of course, Nixon isn't running for president...

From all this information we've been learning about Kerry's past lately, is it really that hard to believe that Kerry knew it was only a matter of time before the campaign-ending info. was found? Of course, a Kerry spokesman had no comment when asked by the New York Sun over the weekend.

Republican FLOG, Kerry Officials Admit Plan Would Not Stop Outsourcing
03.29.04 (12:14 pm)   [edit]
The RNC has unveiled it's FLOG.

http://www.gop.com/flog" title="http://www.gop.com/flog" target="_blank"http://www.gop.com/flog

For those of you who don't know what FLOG means, because I certainly didn't:

A Web page that serves as a publicly accessible journal of misstatements, mischaracterizations or factual errors with corresponding corrections and citation.

I'll take an outsourcing quote from it.

OPINION: Kerry Implies Changing Tax Code Would Stop Outsourcing. KERRY: “So if I am elected President, I will fight for the most sweeping international tax law reform in forty years - a plan to replace tax incentives to take jobs offshore with new incentives for job creation on our own shores. … Today in America if a company is trying to choose between locating a factory in Michigan or Malaysia, our tax code has a feature called ‘deferral’ that provides major tax savings if they locate abroad. So companies are driven to take advantage of legal tax incentives that have been on the books for too long and do not serve the economic interests of our nation.” (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks As Prepared Regarding “A Jobs First Economic Plan,” Detroit, MI, 3/26/04)

FACT: Kerry Officials Admit Plan Would Not Stop Outsourcing. “Campaign officials acknowledged that the new plan would not stop the broader trend of outsourcing jobs to low-wage countries. But they said it would at least remove what they called a bias in the tax system that encourages such practices.” (Edmund L. Andrews and Jodi Wilgoren, “Kerry To Propose Eliminating A Tax Break On U.S. Companies' Overseas Profits,” The New York Times, 3/26/04)

Kerry’s Own Advisers Won’t Predict If Plan Will Even Slow Outsourcing. “Mr. Kerry's advisers wouldn't predict whether his plan actually would reduce the flow of jobs outsourced from the U.S., partly because they don't want the proposal to be portrayed as the work of a protectionist.” (Bob Davis and John Harwood, “Kerry Targets Job Outsourcing With Corporate-Tax Overhaul,” Wall Street Journal, 3/26/04)

FLASHBACK: Sen. John Kerry On Outsourcing, 12/3/03: "Well, any candidate for president who stands up and tells people, as some are, that they're going to just stop [outsourcing] by getting tough on trade or whatever, is lying to the American people. Outsourcing is particularly painful at this moment because we haven't been creating jobs, and we haven't been creating jobs to some measure because of the overhang of the 1990s, the excess capacity that we were left with and the need to sort of burn it up." (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Council On Foreign Relations, New York, NY, http://www.cfr.org/campaign20...:_setting_the_right_cours e_for_foreign_policy.php, 12/3/03)

I love reading these things with the Jaws Theme playing in the background. It just adds that umph to it.

Can You Tell a Democrat From a Republican?
03.28.04 (1:39 pm)   [edit]
Now that I'm into posting pictures again, I'll keep it up. I've always thought you could tell the difference between a democrat and a republican just by looking at them, so I'll put that to the test with yall. I tried to choose generic looking people, not long-haired hippies or gun-slinging rednecks. Below I have 6 pictures, 3 of which are democrats and 3 are republicans. Can you tell which are which? Well that 1st one turned out bigger than I thought, but oh well.

Bush Just Looks the Part
03.27.04 (1:40 pm)   [edit]
I think I'll post some pictures. Bush has, in my eyes, always looked like a better president, issues aside. Kerry doesn't smile nearly enough and looks too aloof, whereas Bush is almost always happy and has that all-American look to him. Unfortunatly you need to sign up to view photos at dnc.org, so I had to google Kerry's photos.

If you can't love that face, something is wrong with you.

The president, the man.

I'd like to see Kerry appear to fit in trying to do this.

Gotta love Laura!

Doesn't look too happy...

I'm going to assume he just isn't very photogenic.

Leave it to Kerry to make snowboarding uncool.

I know I didn't pick the most flattering pictures of Kerry, but you have to admit that overall Bush looks more like an American president.

Eat KFC or the Terrorists Win
03.25.04 (5:30 pm)   [edit]
I saw this article at The Ville so I looked at it. Then I realized that PETA is stationed in Norfolk. I live like 20 minutes away from Norfolk. So I felt the need to post this article.

PETA claims secret recipe for KFC is torture.

NORFOLK, Va. — The animal-rights activists who once suggested Ronald McDonald was a bloody butcher are going after Colonel Sanders, contending cruelty is the "secret recipe" for KFC's fried chicken.

Well that makes sense.

Starting next month, Norfolk-based People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals plans to hand out "Buckets of Blood" to children outside KFC restaurants and at schools near the restaurants. The buckets are part of PETA's campaign against what it says are farming and slaughter abuses by KFC's suppliers.

If you can't make a rational argument, go after the children.

KFC spokeswoman Bonnie Warschauer initially said, "We don't comment on the corporate terrorist activities of PETA. They are corporate terrorists and just like the United States government, we will not negotiate with corporate terrorists."

Amen to that. If at all possible, I urge you to go our and eat at KFC. These people really are terrorists, and you can't let them win. Just imagine, all this protesting goes on, PETA pours tons of money into the program, and KFC's profits go up. I would laugh my frickin' head off.

Racial Profiling Test
03.23.04 (2:20 pm)   [edit]
Taken from The Ville. I seem to be spending the time I've allocated for blogging arguing with therealspartacus, so lets hope I can get out of that sometime soon, so I don't have to steal things. Who am I kidding, this was probably good enough to steal anyways.

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone - - - - particularly fanatics intent on killing us - airport screeners will not be allowed to profile people. They will continue random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning former Governors.

Let's pause a moment and take the following test.

Well I passed. If I ask one thing of airport employees, it will be to take this test.

Kerry on Healthcare
03.22.04 (2:13 pm)   [edit]
Kerry sure has been missing his share of Healthcare votes. I don't blame him, though, it's not his fault. He's just a Senator, besides, it's not like he's running for president or anything.

I still don't know when I signed up for these things, but in my newsletter from GOP.com, it criticizes John Kerry for his comment "We need to get some things done in this country: affordable healthcare …”

Kerry Missed 36 Of 38 Votes On Medicare Reform And Prescription Drug Benefit, Including Final Passage Of Bill. (H.R.1, CQ Vote #459: Prescription Drug Benefit - Conference Report, Passed 54-44: R 42-9; D 11-35; I 1-0, 11/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #262: Prescription Drug Benefit - Passage, Passed 76-21: R 40-10; D 35-11; I 1-0, 6/27/03; S.1, CQ Vote #261: Prescription Drug Benefit - Means Test, Rejected 38-59: R 3-47; D 35-11; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #260: Prescription Drug Benefit - Alternative Plan, Rejected 21-75: R 20-29; D 1-45; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #259: Prescription Drug Benefit - Retiree Fallback Plan, Rejected 42-54: R 0-49; D 42-4; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #258: Prescription Drug Benefit - Medigap Policies, Rejected 43-55: R 1-50; D 42-4; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #257: Prescription Drug Benefit - Medicaid Coverage, Rejected 47-51: R 5-46; D 42-4; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #256: Prescription Drug Benefit - Immigrant Coverage, Rejected 33-65: R 32-19; D 1-45; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #255: Prescription Drug Benefit - Experimental Drug Coverage, Adopted 71-26: R 50-0; D 20-26; I 1-0, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #254: Prescription Drug Benefit - Premium Reduction, Rejected 39-59: R 0-51; D 39-7; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #253: Prescription Drug Benefit - Additional Disease Treatment, Agreed To 57-41: R 51-0; D 5-41; I 1-0, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #252: Prescription Drug Benefit - Alzheimer’s Subsidy, Adopted 98-0: R 51-0; D 46-0; I 1-0, 6/26/03; CQ Vote #251: Prescription Drug Benefit - Asset Test, Adopted 69-29: R 22-29; D 46-0; I 1-0, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #250: Prescription Drug Benefit - Cancer Patient Coverage, Agreed To 54-44: R 51-0; D 3-43; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #249: Prescription Drug Benefit - Cancer Care, Adopted 97-1: R 50-1; D 46-0; I 1-0, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #248: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Advertisements, Rejected 39-59: R 0-51; D 39-7; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #247: Prescription Drug Benefit - Disability Services, Agreed To 50-48: R 48-3; D 2-44; I 0-1, 6/26/03; S.1, CQ Vote #246: Prescription Drug Benefit - Cost-Effectiveness Studies, Rejected 43-52: R 0-48; D 43-3; I 0-1, 6/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #245: Prescription Drug Benefit - Durbin Substitute, Rejected 39-56: R 0-48; D 39-7; I 0-1, 6/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #244: Prescription Drug Benefit - Premium Reduction, Rejected 39-56: R 0-49; D 39-6; I 0-1, 6/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #243: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Advertisements, Rejected 26-69: R 0-49; D 26-19; I 0-1, 6/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #242: Prescription Drug Benefit - Health Centers, Adopted 94-1: R 48-1; D 45-0; I 1-0, 6/25/03; S.1, CQ Vote #241: Prescription Drug Benefit - Employer Compensation, Rejected 41-55: R 0-50; D 41-4; I 0-1, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #240: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Cost Coverage, Rejected 41-54: R 0-49; D 41-4; I 0-1, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #239: Prescription Drug Benefit - Benefit Availability, Rejected 41-54: R 1-48; D 40-5; I 0-1, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #238: Prescription Drug Benefit - Two-Year Fallback Plan, Agreed To 51-45: R 48-2; D 2-43; I 1-0, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #237: Prescription Drug Benefit - Congressional Coverage, Adopted 93-3: R 50-0; D 42-3; I 1-0, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #236: Prescription Drug Benefit - Cost Sharing Extension, Agreed To 54-42: R 50-0; D 3-42; I 1-0, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #235: Prescription Drug Benefit - Canadian Price Equity, Agreed To 66-31: R 51-0; D 14-31; I 1-0, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #234: Prescription Drug Benefit - Open Enrollment Period, Agreed To 55-42: R 51-0; D 3-42; I 1-0, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #233: Prescription Drug Benefit - Third-Party Coverage, Agreed To 52-43: R 49-0; D 3-42; I 0-1, 6/24/03; S.1, CQ Vote #232: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Importation, Adopted 62-28: R 21-25; D 40-3; I 1-06/20/03; S.1, CQ Vote #230: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Patents, Adopted 94-1: R 50-1; D 43-0; I 1-0, 6/19/03; S.1, CQ Vote #229: Prescription Drug Benefit - Premium Cap, Rejected 39-56: R 0-51; D 39-4; I 0-1, 6/19/03; S.1, CQ Vote #228: Prescription Drug Benefit - Drug Cost Disclosure, Adopted 95-0: R 51-0; D 43-0; I 1-0, 6/19/03; S.1, CQ Vote #227: Prescription Drug Benefit - Benefit Within Medicare, Rejected 37-58: R 0-51; D 37-6; I 0-1, 6/18/03)

This time I won't be accused of misleading people. You'll see that those are all different votes. I guess he lent his reputable healthcare record to those foreign leaders.

Don't Forget to Watch C-SPAN Tonight
03.21.04 (1:38 pm)   [edit]
Tonight at 6:30 and 9:30 C-SPAN will be showing Sen. Kerry's 1971 testimony before Sen. Fulbright.

Next Sunday they will be showing the 1971 Dick Cavett Show's John Kerry and John O'Neil (anti-war) debate.

President Bush most likely won't get too involved in Kerry's vietnam record, but C-SPAN apparently has no problem with it. So tune in and wait for Kerry to have to defend his own words, or flip-flop again. It's a win-win situation.

Now, which channel is C-SPAN...

This Just In, Best Show Ever
03.20.04 (9:59 am)   [edit]
I hardly ever watch Spike TV, except for Joe Schmoe and Real TV if nothing else is on, but this show is awesome.

Spike Tv, This Just In

The main character even has his own blog, Newport's Blog.

It's the only animated political show I've ever seen on TV. I'd highly reccomend any republican watch the show, it's got a liberal and a moderate democrat too, for those of you not on the right side of the political spectrum. It comes on at 10:30PM E/P, but I'm not sure when it re-runs. I just saw it at midnight yesterday.

Any show with the line "Get your fat liberal ass off that barstool" when addressed to Ted Kennedy, is fine by me.

Gun Show Loophole
03.19.04 (8:40 pm)   [edit]
Well, I just lost at scrabble. I mean, come on, since when is cellion not a word? I've changed the colors a little more just because I can, and I finally fixed the blog width back to how it used to be. So, instead of delving into the world of Kerry dirt, today, I'll post a gun show movie from flashbunny.org.

Gun Show Loophole

I guess this does have to do with Kerry after all, since I remember seeing something about him protesting gun shows because of this loophole.

On another note, does anybody know where I can find pictures of anti-liberal bumper stickers to add to my blog? I found some at RightNation, but instead of the picture being just of the bumper sticker, it's the whole white box around the bumper sticker.

Kerry the Assassin
03.18.04 (1:16 pm)   [edit]
You'd think I'd get tired of talking about Kerry's past, but I don't.

According to Vietnam War Historian/Kerry Supporter, Kerry attended a meeting in which VVAW members discussed assassinating U.S. senators.

Nicosia also disputed Kerry's denial that he was in attendance when VVAW members met in Kansas City in November 1971 to discuss the possibility of assassinating U.S. senators still committed to the Vietnam War.

Kerry was at the meeting, Nicosia insisted, pointing to FBI files and the minutes from the VVAW meeting, which he has obtained. "The minutes of the meeting, November 12th through the 15th, it's got John Kerry there, it's got John Kerry resigning there on the third day," Nicosia said.

It's got a bunch of other stuff in there about Kerry lying, but that's no surprise.

I'd just like to point out that if I replaced the word Kerry in this blog with Garfunkle C. Ingles, any democrat commenting would tell me that I shouldn't be assuming this one man represents the entire democrat party. Kerry, of course, does represent the democrat party, and I plan on blogging something about him with a fake name, but you'll never know when...

heh heh ha ha HA HA MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I used to like Australia. I'm sure yall have asked yourself what countries you'd rather live in if you couldn't live in the U.S., and Australia used to be my #1. If all Australians think like this young man, then that list needs revising. The sad part is that many of the members side with this garbage. I better stop listening to punk if this is what it does to me.

Democrats Losing Their Precious Race Card
03.17.04 (1:17 pm)   [edit]
We all know democrats have had their hands around the black community for a while now, but are those days coming to an end? It's apparently becoming more and more obvious that the republican party isn't as racist as democrats will have you believe, and the won't be able to take them for granted like they have been.

So they're deciding to switch parties.

A recent report by the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies found that African-Americans now identify themselves as Democrats 63 % of the time, compared with 74 % of the time in 2002. The number of African-Americans who identify themselves as Independents rose from 20 % in 2002 to 24 % this year.

The number of African-Americans who identify themselves as Republicans is still tiny -- 10 percent --but that is more than double the number of African-Americans who identified themselves as Republicans in 2002 -- 4 percent.

Maybe this has something to do with all the white supremacists attacking Bush. I, personally, think it has to do with Christianity. Most blacks are Christian, and with all these attacks on Christianity coming from the left, its no wonder they're leaving.

Walter E. Willaims, a black man, sits in for Rush Limbaugh all the time, and Rush is like the epitome of Republican. Of course, to the brainwashed blacks in the democrat party, he's white, just like Condaleeza Rice and Colin Powell.

If You Aren't a Democrat, Watch Out!
03.16.04 (5:08 pm)   [edit]
Stolen shamelessly from RightWingNews.com, but maybe I should start bookmarking the Democratic Underground so I can get to it first.

I'd like to see these Democrats start coming out and making these statements publically, then we'll see how many people want to vote for them.

1) Get Republicans fired at your workplace, or fire them yourself if you can – In the belief that all activism starts with the grass roots, do us all a favor, and fire your Republican employees this week. There are legitimate reasons to fire virtually any employee, so avail yourself of them. Not only will it quit the gloating you’re hearing around the office, it’ll stop those donation checks they are getting ready to write. Might also teach them a bit of humility regarding the poor and the disadvantaged. They can be the “Pioneers” of “Unemployment Window A”

These, ladies and gentleman, are the people complaining about the state of jobs in America.

2) Pretend to be a Republican, and then cut down the next Republican that you have a conversation with. - The more public/crowed the place you do this, the better. Use whatever remarks you know are sure to make the intended impression. “You’re no better than the liberal scum you claim to hate… get back into the kitchen… Just wait till we win next year and toss peons like you into the field or the workhouse… People in your income bracket don’t have the right to be Republican or vote etc.” If you need talking points, just observe in a Yahoo political chat room for a few minutes and you have all the right wing bile that you can use and quite possibly all that you can stand.

I'm hoping this is a Republican in disguise, following his own advice, because this is one helluva cowardly way of getting the liberal agenda across.

3) Create, plant and disseminate widely “news stories” that discredit GOP policies – A good way to do this is to print out stories in the visual style of a major newspaper or magazine (don’t use the logo or other copywrited material, however) and theme them similarly to the ones that targeted John McCain’s platform last presidential election. Make sure not to slander individuals directly. Leave stacks of the printouts where people are certain to find them – i.e. supermarkets, coffee houses, bars, community centers etc. As in #2 make sure to write these from the right wing perspective, for maximum effect on the target audience. Avoid digital media, as it’s too easy to fact check, not that most GOP voters care to check these things anyway.

Evil...

4) Contact the IRS and anonymously tip them off regarding prominent GOP contributors in your area. – Lets face it, they are likely tax evaders in any case (that’s why they are GOP), so might as well have them go thru an audit and feel a bit of what it’s like to have a hostile government prying into their affairs. The tax money you shake free will be a little payback to your community for the egregious tax cut they undoubtedly are enjoying.

Man, they caught us. We better hit them first. My fellow republicans, contact the IRS and anonymously tip them off regarding Democrat contributers in your area. Lets face it, they are likely recieving funds from terrorist organizations anyways.

5) Make sure that you’re the only ride on voting day for a group of hard right types who live out of the way, and then don’t show up. – This works best in low population density areas and poor right wing communities. Cultivate a group of right wing friends and make sure they depend on you for the ride on Election Day. Then don’t show up. Every vote they miss is an uncontested vote on the blue side of the aisle. The right needs a taste of Florida 2000.

Reminds me of Hitler keeping Communists from the polls. And we all know how that turns out.

I love the DU. Onto the Favorites list they go.

The Liberal Plague Infects Our Airwaves (SamAdams Edition)
03.16.04 (4:16 pm)   [edit]
I've been lured into reading way too many blogs like the one you're about to see, so its my turn to have fun. Lets hope I can escape the wrath of the Counter Point on this one.

[b]The demented ramblings of the pandering, eco-fascist, traitors in the left wing have decided its time to unleash it's abrasive lies on the one source of media we still hold dear...Could it be that they have run out of space on TV and the newspapers already in the clutches of their America-hating claws?[/b]

The less than humorous stylings of Al Franken, and Janeanne Garofalo, Saddam's Public Relations whore, think they can host a radio show for the remarkably ignorant. Don't expect this to get off the ground, however, because this entire scheme rests on the ability of liberals to figure out how to operate their tofu powered radios.

For the Full story click [link]

[b]They can't even think of an original name. So instead of acknowledging their rip-off of O'Reilly, just call them by their terrorist sponsor's name Al Fa'rankeen.[/b]

Liberal Logic Has No Clothes
03.13.04 (7:07 pm)   [edit]
I found this while browsing Flashbunny.org.

I usually don't post long blogs because it takes too much work and not as many people will read them. So if you read any of it, read the 5th paragraph, because it's so so true.

Liberal Logic Has No Clothes

When liberal activists expose themselves, they also expose the emptiness of their position. The embattled Dixie Chicks have taken a stand against their critics in the latest Entertainment Weekly magazine. No, this in itself isn't news, seeing how they've offered numerous explanations, spins, and apologies since offending a large percentage of their fan base with the comment made by lead singer Natalie Maines against President Bush ("Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas"). What is news is that the Dixie Chicks (and a likely body double for Natalie Maines) have appeared naked on the cover of the same magazine. Written on their bodies are inflammatory and contradictory words like "Boycott", "Hero", "Traitors", and "Patriot".

Now whatever the artistic vision behind this picture is, the one thing that's clear is that it will both attract attention and sell magazines. It will also generate just a little more publicity to help the Dixie Chicks once again explain their side of the story. Just to safeguard myself against an attack by Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, I'm not questioning the Dixie Chicks' right to speak. We all know how we must avoid any even the remotest appearance of consequences for liberals exercising their free speech rights. No, instead I'm going to highlight what seems to be a uniquely liberal political trend and how it shows the emptiness of their positions.

It started in earnest several years ago with PETA's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign. In this brilliant political move, PETA hoped to convince millions of Americans that wearing fur was bad by having female models, singers, and even average women pose naked behind banners stating "We'd rather go naked than wear fur." Of course, they never really seemed to be naked since they were 'clothed' by their banners, but we humored them and didn't sue them for false advertising.

Fast forward to recent months when female 'Peace' activists decided that they could make everyone forget about the threat Saddam Hussein posed by getting together in large groups and spelling out 'Peace' and 'Make Love Not War' with their naked bodies and photographing it. Unfortunately for them, the tactic of using aging hippies to whom gravity and time haven't been kind doesn't produce the kind of enthusiasm you'd normally expect when you announce a picture of 100 naked women. Imagine the disappointment of a young, undecided-on-the-war college aged male, browsing the Internet, seeing a story about women posing naked for peace. Then he clicks on the story and sees a 100 women who all look like his grandmother. It's not something that's going to attract repeat customers, that's for sure. Hint for this crowd: If you want your publicity to last beyond the first viewing of your photographs, next time hire models. And not models for AARP ads, either.

Besides nudity, the common thread in all these instances of 'stripping for your cause' is that they're coming from the left. Why don't you ever see anything like this coming from the right? It's not that the people on the right are 'conservative' and find nudity horribly offensive (I'm sure some do). No, it's that on the right, ideas - real, intellectually based ideas - come first. On the left, the emotion is the argument and the reason for the belief. The nudity is just a sideshow that attracts attention to the cause while distracting the viewer from the truth - that their beliefs don't stand up against logical dissection.

Think about it. For PETA, fur is bad and meat is murder. But what if the sight of an almost naked woman makes me take a PETA brochure? What am I going to learn? That in order to get a burger on my plate, some cow had to die, and it probably wasn't happy about it? Well, stop the presses, I didn't think meat actually came from living animals, but if it did, they all ran to be first in line for the slaughter house! I'll just forget that man has been an omnivore for pretty much his entire existence, and I'll start eating tofu and soy substitutes and tell myself it tastes just as good as the real slaughtered, butchered, seasoned and cooked-in-its-own-juices thing.

The Peace crowd was so appallingly pathetic this time around that they had to recycle slogans from the last Gulf war. The main reason for their massive opposition to the war turned out to be that George W. Bush is actually Adolph Hitler reincarnated, and only the left has been able to see it. Now imagine you're that same college age guy mentioned before, and passing by a peace protest you see what looks like a group of naked women. You get closer (naturally you have to check this out and evaluate the situation) and one of the protesters starts to explain why you should oppose this war. Because war is bad. Because peace is good. Because we must think of the children and Bush is a dictator who stole the election from Al Gore, who really should be our President. Not exactly points that will actually help a debating team win, unless the judges are all from Berkeley.

Now we come to the Dixie Chicks. They've already offered more explanations and apologies than I can remember. But the real controversy is that the rubes who should be out buying their albums had the gall to attach consequences to their actions. To the chagrin of the left, we've actually broken the unwritten rule: That free speech is to have no repercussions from mainstream America when it is practiced by the left. While organizing boycotts of Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura is to be expected and encouraged, calling your favorite country music station and demanding they pull the Dixie Chicks from their playlist is uncalled for and unacceptable.

Of course, this exposes the lack of logic in the Dixie Chicks' argument. Yes, they do have the right to free speech. And no one in government has tried to censor them. However, they do not have the right be free from the consequences of what they say. This upsets them, but they and the Susan Sarandons of the world can not make their case and be logical at the same time. Their message only survives on hysteria and dies when faced with common sense. And that message has been heard and rebuked by mainstream America. The Dixie Chicks are down in the charts. It's costing them money. They have a tour starting, and although it was sold out before Natalie Maines exercised her First Amendment rights overseas, you still need people to show up and buy T-shirts, souvenirs, and refreshments at the show if you want to make as much money as possible. So to get more attention for their newest spin, they're taking off their clothes hoping the public gives them a second (or third, or fourth) chance.

One of the best ways to evaluate the merits of a philosophy or approach is to reverse it. So to best do that, we'll have to apply the 'Political Advocacy Through Nudity' to the other side of the fence. For example, in the 'Quagmire' phase of the Iraq war, when the Pentagon could do nothing right, there was absolutely zero chance that Donald Rumsfeld would do one of his press briefings in his underwear to draw attention and sympathy for the war plan. Instead he answered all the (often idiotic) questions posed to him in a logical and thoughtful manner. As far as advocating a cause goes, it's extremely unlikely that we'll see school choice advocates hiding behind a banner that says "We'd rather go naked than attend public schools" while in their birthday suits. Instead they'll debate on the increased effectiveness of choice-based education and the tremendous cost savings. And if the economy continues to be slow to recover, leaving George W. Bush in a tough race for reelection in 2004, all odds are against him appearing naked on the cover of Newsweek with words like "Unemployment", "Tax Cuts", "Recession" and "Osama" written on his body.

So how will this tactic evolve? Will we see more people getting naked to promote causes that struggle to stand on their own merits? Whatever happens, you can be pretty sure the causes they're stripping for will be coming from the left. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people getting naked, but if "Hillary and Pelosi in 2008" campaign decides this is a good idea, I'm outta' here.

Kerry's Unnamed Foreign Leaders
03.13.04 (4:20 pm)   [edit]
Once again, I'm taking this from The Federalist, a newsletter I never even remember signing up for.

John Kerry recently said that a number of "unnamed foreign leaders" have privately endorsed him for the presidency. "I've met foreign leaders who can't go out and say this publicly," said Kerry, "but boy they look at you and say, 'You've got to win this, you've got to beat this guy, we need a new policy,' things like that." The Kerry campaign, however, refuses to name those leaders, to say what country they're from, what continent they're from, or even what hemisphere. (Perhaps they will identify what planet....) Several world leaders, like Germany's Gerhard Schoeder and Australia's Alexander Downer, even took the preemptive action of saying it wasn't them.

However, a few of Kerry's mysterious "foreign leaders" were outed this week... The first was Kim Jong Il, the North Korean dictator who boasts a coiffure not unlike Kerry's own and has rebroadcast Kerry's speeches on state-run radio across his Communist paradise. Another dictator, ousted Haitian President Jean Bertrand-Aristide (who Kerry said he would have kept in power) made his endorsement public. Additionally, there were accolades from terrorist Yasser Arafat, whom Kerry referred to as a "statesman" and "role model" in his 1997 book, The New War. Furthermore, to make the list of dictator endorsements (ousted and otherwise) complete, we expect Kerry to get the nod from Martha Stewart and Michael Eisner any day now. Saddam Hussein, meanwhile, was unavailable for comment.

I'd really like to know who these leaders are. If he's not mentioning them and they won't identify themselves, there are some things we can tell about them: They're either cowards, horrible leaders, or they don't exist. I also find it pretty funny that Schroeder and Downer would come out and say it wasn't them.

Anti-American Democrats
03.12.04 (2:41 pm)   [edit]
Something has been bugging me, and keep in mind, I realise this doesn't apply to all democrats.

You never see anything remotely Anti-American on any republican site, but democrats seem to enjoy working Anti-Americanism into things. Like this, which I found courtesy of RWN.

I'll pull up a quote I remember from LynnKramer's blog.

''It disturbs me to see all the flags out supporting the slaughter.'' -- Student, University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee.

Call it an unjust war, but don't start attacking people because they fly flags. Express your views, but don't start saying "Oh, Americans are so stupid, arrogant, ignorant, man I wish I lived in some sane country." Anti-Americans should not be leading Americans.

Another thing that I'll get out of the way while I'm ranting. Communism is another thing I'll always find liberals defending, you know, the same Communism that's been America's traditional enemy. It's always "Hey! I like Communism, because its a good idea in theory." Liberals would love Communism if they believed there was some way of making it work. Communists love Communism because they believe it can work, has worked, and is the perfect system. Republicans wouldn't take it if they were given a working system, because I guess republicans just like being rewarded for hard work.

If you are a democrat, aren't Anti-American, and don't defend Communism, then you are apparently a minority, and more power to ya!

Bush Unveils the Negative Ads
03.11.04 (4:54 pm)   [edit]
I am officially stealing RightWingNews.com's play on Kerry's name.

Bush has finally started to attack John F'n Kerry.

The Bush ads, unveiled Thursday, will begin airing in 18 states Friday along with radio ads that make the same high-taxes, soft-on-terorrism argument against Kerry. They are the second wave of a multimillion-dollar ad campaign that is designed, through focus groups and polls, to shift voters' attention from Bush's political weaknesses to strengths from talk of joblessness in an ailing economy to a debate over Democratic tax hikes; and on terrorism, from violence-torn Iraq to reminders of his leadership on Sept. 11, 2001.

Finally! I'm getting tired of seeing Kerry's commercial attacking Bush, so its about time I see one attacking him.

The Democrat's response ad will air in some of the same states, but Kerry advisers would not elaborate.

And then Bush will release a response ad to that response ad, and our commercial breaks will just be one big debate.

I shouldn't be enjoying this, since these commercials are going to start getting old after a few months, but I'll worry about that then.

Dems and Reps Sharing the White House?
03.10.04 (3:10 pm)   [edit]
I was thinking off stealing a blog from RWN, but why when I can just head over to NewsMax and see what's going on.

What would you think about Republican Sen. John McCain becoming Kerry's running mate?

I'm not exactly sure what to think. It would take out some of the sting of Kerry being elected president, but it could very possibly screw Bush over in this election. I think Kerry's beginning to realise he may be too liberal for the moderate voters, so what better way to remedy the problem without actually doing anything.

I don't want Bush leaving the white house any more than the next republican. But should McCain not take the opportunity and leave the spot open for the likes of Howard Dean or Jane Fonda?

Bin Laden on the Move?
03.09.04 (2:30 pm)   [edit]
CNN claims Bin Laden might be preparing to move from Pakistan to Afghanistan. Now, my question is, why would he move if he knows that we know that he's moving?

Remember back when we were killing Al Qaeda members by tracing their cell phone calls? Now, that story got out in a tiny article in the Washington Post, I think it was the very same day they stopped using their cell phones. So why would CNN publish an article on where they think Bin Laden is going? Osama has to already know we're on to his plans, so he has to be changing them.

Is CNN just jealous of the attention FOX got because of Geraldo? And what's with all these hits recently. I get more hits after my blog has dropped of the front page of politics and recent posts than I do before. *start playing twilight zone music*

GAY MARRIAGE ISN'T LEGAL!!
03.08.04 (3:45 pm)   [edit]
I should've known that it wasn't an isolated case, but a liberal epidemic of law breaking. Fortunatly [i]The Federalist[/i] email I got, informed me that its much worse than I thought.

Last time I checked, when something's illegal, you're not supposed to do it. Now apparently, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom has sparked several other instances of mayors disregarding the law and marrying gay couples anyways. Jason West, Mayor of New Paltz, NY, has married 25 gay couples. Ithaca Mayor Carolyn K. Peterson said her city will now accept marriage licenses from same-sex couples. Ditto Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. The mayors of Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, and Plattsburgh, N.Y., have all chimed in to support Newsom's urban guerrilla tactics.

So, am I now allowed to go out marrying dogs to their owners? Last time I checked that was illegal, but apparently its okay to break a law as long as its something I don't agree with. Does this mean its ok to go around killing people, just because I believe murder is right? Maybe I'll just go out and give these mayors a beating, after all, laws don't carry any weight in their cities.

Republicans Are Smarter Than Democrats
03.08.04 (12:35 pm)   [edit]
I've stolen this from The Ville, but if it means insulting liberals, I'm all for it.

On average, republicans are smarter than democrats.

“Republicans in the general public tend to be better educated than Democrats. In the 1994-2002 General Social Surveys (GSS), Republicans have over 6/10ths of a year more education on average than Democrats. Republicans also have a higher final mean educational degree. Further, Republicans scored better than Democrats on two word tests in the GSS—a short vocabulary test and a modified analogies test.

If one breaks down the data by party affiliation and political orientation, the most highly educated group is conservative Republicans, who also score highest on the vocabulary and analogical reasoning tests. Liberal Democrats score only insignificantly lower than conservative Republicans. The least educated subgroups are moderate and conservative Democrats, who also score at the bottom (or very near the bottom) on vocabulary and analogy tests.

Excuse me while I laugh.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

You take my gun, I'll take your sign!
03.07.04 (9:27 am)   [edit]
After posting that limousine liberal picture, I decided to go to flashbunny.org, and its about time I found this site.

The same founding fathers that you like to quote when defending your anti-war protesting also said "What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms." So why do you liberals think we should live by the words of our founding fathers, but then go and oppose guns?

Please tell me how protesting is perfectly ok, but owning guns is wrong.

I'll leave you with another picture.

Man, I'm not stretching my blog out anymore, so I'll just link to it. Chicago, America's Murder Capital

Limousine Liberal
03.06.04 (7:28 pm)   [edit]
Whoa, I wouldn't want to go a day without blogging, that might mess up the symetry of my calendar.

I've decided to take a break from Kerry bashing today. However, this limousine liberal thing could take care of him and their recent addition to the country's jails, Martha Stewart.

Picture edited out to fix blog size

Marine Master Sergant Questions Kerry's Service
03.05.04 (1:26 pm)   [edit]
Unfortunatly I had bookmarked The Ville for February, and forgot to look at this month. When I looked at this month, I found a link to this. Now, I've been disgusted with Kerry's activities after he left Vietnam, but I never questioned his service during the war. Now, however, this Marine Master Sergant has opened up a new front on Kerry's record.

I'm not going to quote all of it, so I highly recommend you read it.

(2) He collected three Purple Hearts but has no limp. All his injuries were so minor that he lost no time from duty. Amazing luck. Or he was putting himself in for medals every time he bumped his head on the wheel house hatch? Combat on, the boats were almost always at close range. You didn't have minor wounds, at least not often. Not three times in a row. Then he used the three Purple Hearts to request a trip home eight months before the end of his tour. Fishy.

Here we have a JFK wannabe (the guy Halsey wanted to court martial for carelessly losing his boat and getting a couple people killed by running across the bow of a Japanese destroyer) who is hardly in Vietnam long enough to get good tan, collects medals faster than Audie Murphy in a job where lots of medals weren't common, gets sent home eight months early and requests separation from active duty a few months after that so he can run for Congress. In that election, he finds out war heroes don't sell well in Massachsetts in 1970, so he reinvents himself as Jane Fonda, throws his ribbons in the dirt with the cameras running to jump start his political career, gets Stillborn Pell to invite him to address Congress and has Bobby Kennedy's speechwriter to do the heavy lifting. A few years later he winds up in the Senate himself, where he votes against every major defense bill and says the CIA is irrelevant after the Berlin Wall came down. He votes against the Gulf War (a big political mistake since that turned out well), then decides not to make the same mistake twice so votes for invading Iraq -- but that didn't fare as well with the Democrats, so he now says he really didn't mean for Bush to go to war when he voted to allow him to go to war.

You'd think I'd get tired of attacking Kerry, but I've got over 3 years of Bush bashing to make up for. But anyways, I agree, very fishy...

WE LOVE YOU NADER!!
03.05.04 (12:29 pm)   [edit]
I know its still early in the election year, and I still believe Bush could easily pull this off without Nader's help, but its always good to know that there's some midget punching your enemy in the groin.

The latest polls show Bush 46% Kerry 45% and Nader 6%.

I think it was a Fox News interview where Nader said "I don't plan on it, but if Democrats decide to attack me, I'll attack back." I love this guy's attitude. I want to see Kerry go after him, just to see Nader fight back. It's a win-win situation. Kerry doesn't do anything and loses a good percentage of potential votes, or he attacks him and runs the risk of Nader running a potentially lethal campaign against Kerry. Think about it, who is Nader most likely to steal votes from, Kerry or Bush? It's obviously going to be Kerry. So if Nader is in his right mind, which may be questionable, he'll attack Kerry to try and steal votes.

Bush Ads Don't Meet Expectations
03.04.04 (4:43 pm)   [edit]
I, like RWN, am disappointed with the new Bush ads. They aren't aggressive, don't illustrate the issues, and the first one even reminds me of a WalMart commercial.

Commercials

You know Kerry will be attacking Bush in everyone of his commercials, so I'm praying these only suck because they were made before the democratic candidate was chosen. Pretty much all he's done is remind people how he got us through 9/11. That alone will not win this election. Being the avid TV watcher I am, I'd suggest using those things on the Quiznos commercial in one of his campaign ads.

"We love the Bush"
"Coz he is good to us"
"The good ol' Bush"

If you've seen the commercial, you get the picture.

Democrats Have Opened Pandora's Box
03.03.04 (12:42 pm)   [edit]
We were all perfectly happy without having to revive Vietnam. But no, Bush is AWOL!! Off with his head!! Well Kerry's Vietnam record isn't spotless, and we're just getting started.

Gary Aldrich, a former FBI agent, wants John Kerry to release his confidential FBI file.

Aldrich said his demand was reasonable. He noted that many Democrats demanded, without any proof of wrongdoing, that President Bush should release his military records because of baseless claims he was "AWOL" in the National Guard.

Sounds reasonable, oh wait, Kerry won't do it. He'll just dismiss this as an attack on his patriotism, and not do anything. But was the AWOL charge not an attack on Bush's patriotism?

Aldrich, whose activities with the FBI gained a high profile in 1996 when he exposed the broken security system and lax attitude on security in the Clinton White House, will not say what he knows about FBI investigations of Kerry.

I love this part. A former FBI agent wants files on Kerry released, but he won't give us any indication as to what is in those files. Something tells me there is something there, and it aint good.

What he does say is this: “Yes, that’s precisely why it is my organization that can lead the campaign to get Senator Kerry to request these files. I think we’re going to find material in those files very interesting and enlightening, and bring some clarity to what is otherwise a very hazy explanation and description of Senator Kerry’s activity, both in Vietnam and in the U.S. after he returned.”

“It is well-established that Kerry was a key leader of the group known as Vietnam Veterans Against the War, or VVAW. It is also well-known that the FBI and other domestic intelligence agencies monitored activities of VVAW, and kept files about their leadership and members’ activities.”

Bush released all his military records because of charges attacking Bush's patriotism. It's only fair that Kerry release these documents which will shed some more light on his past.

Kerry Won't Release Medical Records
03.02.04 (4:09 pm)   [edit]
For whatever reason, Kerry refuses to release his Vietnam medical file.

MALZBERG: There's been criticism, fair or unfair, that within the first 24 hours [John Kerry] had his first purple heart. He got three in four months without even a day of duty lost from wounds, according to his training officer. But he will not release his Purple Heart medical treatment reports. ... And he is the only person keeping them from being released. Would you call on him to release all of his records, sir?

CLELAND: Well, look here. I mean - ah, ah - I think - ah - that might be the height of hypocrisy, for people who never went to Vietnam - as Shakespeare said, "Those who jest at scars never felt a wound." I mean - I felt a wound. John Kerry felt a wound.

MALZBERG: But you never received a Purple Heart, sir.

CLELAND: May I just say, when he was the skipper of his boat with five enlisted men in that situation - going into the jaws of death every day - he had to rely on his instincts for survival. And he and his crew were one. They were a band of brothers. Now, under that situation they saved each others' lives. He also saved the life of a Special Forces officer out of the Mekong Delta River, Jim Rassmussen [sic]. And he is campaigning around America for Kerry even though he's a Republican.

The point being, we've been there, done that, gotten a few holes in our T-shirt and we've come back to America to say war is the last resort, not the first resort.

MALZBERG: I understand, sir. But you were a hero. You lost three limbs, sir, and you don't have a Purple Heart. He barely missed a day and he has three of them. And I'm just saying, why not end the controversy. ... Why not see what the injuries were, sir?

CLELAND: May I just say to you and all your listeners, if you want know the full story of John Kerry and the Vietnam War, just go out and buy a book that's on the New York Times best-seller's list called "Tour of Duty." ... If we get bogged down in guerrilla wars in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in the Balkans and all around, we're going to see repeats of Vietnam. ...

Now that people are going after John Kerry for supposedly being weak on defense, especially by those who never went to war. I mean, you talk about a short term, George Bush had eight months dropped from his tour. He never even completed his tour of duty.

MALZBERG: Well sir, Kerry got out early, also - Kerry got out six months early as well.

CLELAND: Yeah, because he got wounded.

MALZBERG: But we don't know the extent of those wounds, sir.

CLELAND: I got out five weeks early because I got blown up.

MALZBERG: Yes, but don't you see the difference? You lost three limbs.

CLELAND: I don't see any difference.

MALZBERG: We don't know what happened to Kerry because he won't let us know.

CLELAND: That's not true. You read the book "Tour of Duty." I'm not going to get into an argument with you here. Let's just say we have a clear choice in America. And the great citizens of New York have a great choice on Tuesday. ... We don't have to repeat another Vietnam. [END OF EXCERPT]

So, what's going on? Is there something he doesn't want us to find out about? I'd just like to point out that this isn't Kerry bashing, so remember that before you start yelling at me for questioning Kerry's patriotism.

Kerry AWOL in Senate
03.02.04 (12:01 pm)   [edit]
I can't believe I'm even stealing the title from Newsmax, but it'll bring visitors.

I don't think Kerry was elected Senator to spend all of his time campaigning, and not showing up for his job.

Presidential hopeful John F. Kerry [related, bio] has been a virtual no-show in the U.S. Senate over the past 14 months, but he hasn't missed a paycheck, even though a dusty federal law says some of his $158,000 salary should have been withheld

During his run for the presidency, Kerry has missed every one of the 22 roll call votes in the Senate this year and was absent for 292, or 64 percent of the roll call votes last year, according to a Herald review of Senate records.

Me: Oh really senator, now could you tell me what makes you think you can miss work to campaign.

Kerry: "I served bravely in Vietnam, you republicans didn't, so I don't have to do anything.

Me: Bob Dole quit to run for president, maybe you should too.

Kerry: "Are you attacking my patriotism! I served bravely in Vietnam, I don't need to obey rules!"

Kerry is not the only political truant. U.S. Sen. John Edwards [related, bio] (D-N.C.), the runner-up behind Kerry in the hunt for the Democratic nomination, has also missed every roll call this year and skipped 178, or 39 percent of the votes last year.

Once again, I'm pretty sure they weren't elected to not show up for work.

Section 39 of the United States Code Service requires the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Administrative Officer of the House to deduct daily pay from members for each day they are absent.

The only legal excuse is if the senator or representative, or one of their family members, is ill, the law states.

``In the age of telecommunications, Sen. Kerry is in daily contact with his chief of staff,'' Meehan said. ``Voting is just one small part of being a U.S. senator.''

Anybody know who gets to fire senators?

Veterans Protest "Hanoi" John
03.01.04 (3:34 pm)   [edit]
Now I pretty much don't like protesters in general, wether I agree with them or not. However, something about veterans defending their legacy just makes me feel all warm inside.

Hundreds of U.S. Army veterans and Vietnamese escapees demonstrated Saturday outside John Kerry's campaign headquarters in Manhattan to protest his betrayal of them.

"Waving American and South Vietnamese flags and singing the U.S. national anthem, they held up signs saying 'Hanoi John,' and 'Kerry Betrayed Vietnam Vets'," Reuters reported.

Maybe they would've left if he threw his medals at them.

"He betrayed us. He stabbed us in the back. We will never allow him to be our commander-in-chief. Ever!" Kiley exclaimed to the crowd on Park Avenue.

When I read this, it reminds me of that King of the Hill episode where Hank's father wants to go kill Castro. And that "we will never" sounds pretty powerful. You'd think nothing unifies people like serving in a war, especially one as bloody as Vietnam, together. However, Kerry's rehashed past is tearing them apart at the seams. It seems the only way we'll ever be able to fix this is to keep Kerry out of office.
