Cool tBLOG quotes:

"Soldiers dying in Iraq are dying to defend the US against terrorism as a victory in Iraq is a victory in the war on terror. They are dying to defend freedom and democracy in the US and to spread freedom and democracy to Iraq. They are dying for the interests of the US, her allies, and by extension, all Americans (whether they understand it or not). They are not dying for Haliburton, oil, or any other ridiculous shit / slant the anti-war types or conspiracy theorists want to spin. Haliburton is a company (among many others, both US and foreign) that seized a chance to profit in REBUILDING Iraq. There is a big difference between that and war-profiteering. Haliburton did not start the war, terrorists and those that support them did. Putting the chicken before the egg just won’t fly." -polymath

"[B]efore you [Europeans] write us off as just a bunch of sweaty, hairy-chested, Bible-thumping morons who are more likely to break their fast by dipping a Krispy Kreme into a diet cola than a biscotti into an espresso - and who inexplicably have won more Nobel prizes than all other countries combined, host 25 or 30 of the world's finest universities and five or six of the world's best symphonies, produce wines that win prizes at your own tasting competitions, have built the world's most vibrant economy, are the world's only military superpower and, so to speak in our spare time, have landed on the moon and sent our robots to Mars - may I suggest you stop frothing at the mouth long enough to consider just what are these ideas we hold that you find so silly and repugnant?"

Democrats for Bush
02.29.04 (11:48 am)   [edit]
I came across this link on RWN, and I can finally, once again, start to see good in the other party. Democrats for Bush

I'm an avowed Democrat, I voted for Clinton twice as well as Gore. If some of my fellow Democrats could get passed their absolute hatred, they would be surprised to see how central Bush's agenda really is. Do I agree with the President on every issue? No - I'm pro-choice, and I'm not happy at many of the environmental restrictions that have been rolled back, and the fiscal mismanagement is reason to be angry. But are we better off with him at the helm, are we a safer nation because of his actions in Iraq and the war on Terror. You bet your ass we are. The next time you want to shout AWOL - remember that merely 12 years ago we were screaming at Republicans for attacking our candidate for avoiding the draft. The next time you want to scream about the War in Iraq being an act of unilateralism, remember how we backed our Democratic President for going to NATO, not the UN, to oust Milosevic in the Bosnia.

So remember, next time you attack democrats as a whole, as I often do, remember that just because they're democrat, they aren't necessarily Satan.

Kerry to Drill All Over
02.28.04 (2:35 pm)   [edit]
Maybe Kerry can scare enviromentalists towards Nader.

Teamsters union chief Jimmy Hoffa has confused environmentalists and free-market advocates after saying that Democrat front-runner John Kerry, if elected president, would "drill like never before" across the United States.

"Well, we talked about that," Hoffa responded. "He says, look, I am against ANWR, but I am going to put that pipeline in, and we're going to drill like never before."

"Well, they are going to drill all over, according to him," Hoffa said. "And he says, we're going to be drilling all over the United States. And he says that is going to create more jobs."

When Kerry was asked about Hoffa's comments last Thursday by CNN anchor Judy Woodruff, he skirted the issue and instead talked about the pipeline.

Will this turn environmentalists away from Kerry? Will this change nothing, because anyone who feels strongly about the issue will probably have voted for some 3rd party anyways?

Democrats and racism, a double standard.
02.26.04 (12:41 pm)   [edit]
I hate ripping off other blogs, but I got on this after reading RightWingNews' recent blogs.

Apparently, whenever a liberal makes a racist comment, nobody cares, but the second a republican makes it, all hell breaks loose. Here, Here, andHere are 3 examples of the double standard.

Here are some quotes from the first one:

"U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown verbally attacked a top Bush administration official during a briefing on the Haiti crisis Wednesday, calling the President's policy on the beleaguered nation "racist" and his representatives "a bunch of white men."

Brown then told him "you all look alike to me," the participants said.

Don't any of you dare tell me a republican could get away with this. Because you know they couldn't.

Bush and jobs, behind the bias.
02.26.04 (12:15 pm)   [edit]
The facts show an increase of jobs under Bush.

The media and Democrats keep repeating it over and over: "2.3 million jobs lost" since President Bush took office. His could be the worst job record since before World War II, they claim.
One little problem: It's not true.

Not only has there been no net loss of jobs during the Bush administration, there has been a net gain, even with the devastation of 9/11. At least 2.4 million jobs have been created since the president took office, 2 million of those in 2003. The gains more than offset the losses.

Notice the "even with the devastation of 9/11," the greatest attack on our nation's history since Pearl Harbour, yet no one makes the connection between that and the job losses afterwards.

Though 75 percent of jobs are created by small companies, according to the Small Business Administration, this sector’s entrepreneurial activity and the jobs it creates are left out by Washington bean counters when calculating official new job numbers.

That's right, yall best remember that when saying Bush is a big-business nazi.

People are called at home and asked if they have jobs, or if they are in the market for a job. In contrast to the Payroll Survey, the Household Survey shows that 2.4 million jobs have been created so far during Bush's time in office.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Too bad that Kerry will steal credit for any of Bush's job growth if he's elected.

Gay Marriage, Kerry's downfall?
02.25.04 (2:15 pm)   [edit]
I was reading RightWingNews.com's article on gay marriage, and it makes a good point.

Kerry opposes gay marriage, but also opposes Bush's constitutional amendment to ban it.

Yet Kerry doesn't want to alienate the majority of voters who are opposed to gay marriage. So Kerry will need to rabidly attack the people who are fighting against gay marriage to please his base even as he portrays himself as against gay marriage to the general populace. Trying to thread that needle is going to be very difficult for Kerry and I suspect he is going to end up looking very conflicted, evasive, and hypocritical, as he attempts to pull it off.

So, what's Kerry to do? I'd like to see him try to play the Vietnam card on this one.

I've also heard people calling this amendment a purely political move. What's up with that? Bush is openly religious, and has been against gay marriage since the beggining. So how is this now some evil political ploy to steal the presidency? Since when is doing what you believe in a political ploy.

ENOUGH SAID

Kerry, WAKE UP!!
02.25.04 (12:14 pm)   [edit]
You can't use your Vietnam service to defend yourself against everything. Now, in this letter to Bush, Kerry writes:

"As you well know, Vietnam was a very difficult and painful period in our nation's history, and the struggle for our veterans continues. So, it has been hard to believe that you would choose to reopen these wounds for your personal political gain. But, that is what you have chosen to do."

Excuse me! Who's entire campaign has been based on Vietnam? Who decided to question Bush's service? Don't accuse Bush of opening these wounds.

Another quote from Kerry:

"I don't know what it is that all these Republicans who didn't serve in Vietnam are fighting a war against those of us who did,"

Are you under the assumption Republicans are attacking veterans, because if so, you are sadly mistaken. It's you we don't like, not your fellow veterans. And as mentioned yesterday, more veterans are against you than with you. They don't like YOUR vietnam record. Also, since when are there no Republican veterans?

Vietnam has nothing to do with how strong you are on defense spending. So when you're critisized for it, falling back on your Vietnam record doesn't help.

Veterans will take AWOL over "Hanoi" John
02.24.04 (12:17 pm)   [edit]
It seems veterans are more concerned about Kerry's anti-war protesting while paired up with Jane Fonda, than they are concerned with Bush's vietnam record.

The survey found that overall, 44 percent of Americans disapproved of Kerry's anti-war activities, with 40 percent saying they approved, according to the Associated Press. Seventeen percent of those surveyed both disapproved of Kerry's conduct and said it would matter "a great deal" toward determining how they would vote.

Meanwhile, 62 percent of Americans felt Bush had fulfilled his obligations in the Texas Air National Guard, while 38 percent said he had not. But only 12 percent of Americans who said Bush hadn't fulfilled his obligations said it would matter "a great deal" in deciding their votes.

So Kerry keeps focusing on Vietnam, but he's not making any headway. Especially with this...

Meanwhile, GOP officials has been completely mum on Kerry's Fonda connection, as well as his damning 1971 testimony before the Senate where he portrayed his brother Vietnam veterans as war criminals. In fact, but for talk radio and the Internet, the facts on Kerry's anti-war antics would have gone mostly uncovered by the mainstream press.

Another problem for Kerry: While the controversy over Bush's Guard service has largely been exhausted, new revelations from his anti-war past keep dribbling out.

I love this part. They've gone as far as they can with Bush's vietnam record, and are still losing before Bush even opens fire. Even though Edwards may have a better chance of beating Bush, I hope he beats out Kerry so I won't be too disgusted if Bush loses.

Movie that mentioned Arnold as president?
02.23.04 (12:08 pm)   [edit]
Well Arnold is pushing for this new amendment which will allow people who have been U.S. citizens for 20 years to become president.

Now what movie was it that mentioned Arnold Schwarzenegger as having been president. I can't remember anything about the movie, other than it taking place in the future, but I remember the one line where someone said Arnold had been president. Could someone tell me what movie this was? Because that'd be pretty freaky if this old movie had predicted that this Austrian-born body builder/Actor, with no political experience, would become president.

It's still fuzzy

I'm in the mood for a political cartoon. I'll probably start posting them on a regular basis.

New Man Show hosts suck!
02.22.04 (12:21 pm)   [edit]
This has nothing to do with anti-liberalism, but it's my blog and I can rant if I want to.

Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope suck! They can't think on their feet, and they never have any side conversations. All they ever do is sit there and read the teleprompter. Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla were awesome! They would interact with eachother, and seemed to be more at ease with their environment. These new guys are like robots, and it makes me sick.

Then they just sit there with their bottles of beer, not mugs!! Bottles! Never breaking eye contact with the camera. What were they thinking hiring these two?

Bin Laden Surrounded
02.22.04 (10:20 am)   [edit]
I believe this is an update on the Feb. 13th story. Apparently a British newspaper seems to think that U.S. special forces have surrounded Bin Laden. Australian Article on it

The Sunday Express, known for its sometimes colourful scoops, claims the al-Qaeda leader has been "sighted" for the first time since 2001 and is being monitored by satellite.

So don't get your hopes up yet. Although I did hear not too long ago that U.S. troops said they would have Osama captured by the end of this year.

The claim is attributed to "a well-placed intelligence source" in Washington, who is quoted as saying: "He (bin Laden) is boxed in."

The paper says the hostile terrain makes an all-out conventional military assault impossible. The plan to capture him would depend on a "grab-him-and-go" style operation.

"US helicopters already sited on the Afghanistan border will swoop in to extricate him," the newspaper says. It claims bin Laden and his men "sleep in caves or out in the open. The area is swept by fierce snow storms howling down from the 10,000ft-high mountain peaks. Donkeys are the only transport."

The special forces are "absolutely confident" there is no escape for bin Laden, and are awaiting the order to go in and get him.

That must be one hell of an intelligence source, but I'll see if I can find the original British article.

"The timing of that order will ultimately depend on President Bush," the paper says. "Capturing bin Laden will certainly be a huge help for him as he gets ready for the election."

Of course, if he's captured, it will be downplayed by democrats. Why you ask? Because the bodies of 9-11 have gotten cold.

Global Warming not a threat
02.21.04 (10:09 am)   [edit]
I was brought up, as I'm sure most of you were, being taught Global Warming is this big threat to society. But then, the other day, I was reading through Newsmax.com and noticed an article which seems to indicate Global Warming isn't a problem at all.

This Arcticle has changed the way I look at Global Warming.

A study by Princeton University, Columbia University, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) conducted between 1988 and 1992 showed that the eastern forests were so efficient a “sink” or absorber of carbon dioxide that they more than made up for all the emissions from America’s factories, power plants, campfires—even its SUVs.

That's good to know. I guess this means we'll have to hold back the logging industry, though.

It would mean that America, rather than being a force oppressing the rest of the world with its huge economy and its greenhouse emissions, is actually picking up other countries’ greenhouse “trash.” If CO2 is a problem, it’s the rest of the world that’s causing it.

Lets hope they remember that. We are soaking up the emmissions from those American flags they're burning.

There's much more info in that article, but I'm not gonna post anymore of it. I'm sceptical, but if this is true, I'm gonna have to pay GreenPeace's site a visit.

What does Nader think he's doing?
02.20.04 (12:41 pm)   [edit]
Fox News Story

I, being a Bush supporter, am loving this, but shouldn't yall be united by your hatred of Bush? If Nader runs again, he'll just steal more votes from the democrat candidate, and make it all the more likely Bush will win again. Is it really that hard for the Green Party to realize they can't win? Don't they understand all their doing is taking votes away from Kerry/Edwards? Don't the Greens hate Bush even more than your average democrat?

Maybe I'm blind but I fail to see the logic behind this. In the 2000 election, Nader didn't enter knowing how close the race would be, but what's his excuse now?

With Nader now in the race, 43 percent said they would vote for Bush, 42 percent for Kerry and 4 percent for Nader.

I'm willing to bet those 4 percent would have gone into Kerry/Edwards. Could somebody tell me what's up with this?

Responses to Lies and the Liberals That Tell Them
02.19.04 (1:19 pm)   [edit]
Are you like me? Are you tired of having to take time out of your schedule to respond to the neverending slue of unfounded liberal comments? Well, I've decided to post these here where I can just copy and paste so I don't have to think whenever they say something stupid. I only have a few because I add them as I come across them, and lately most of the attacks I've seen are nothing more than "Bush sucks."

War In Iraq

Liberal Comment:
Bush lied about Iraq's WMDs

Response:
Lie:
*A false statement deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood.
*Something meant to deceive or give a wrong impression.

Bush acted on faulty intelligence. He believed what he was saying was true, so he wasn't presenting something to be true when he knew that he wasnt. There is no proof that he was deliberatly lying to the public.

If a physicist told you the universe was infinite, and you told that to your friend, are you then a liar if it turns out the universe is finite? I think not. (If they are using their argument as justification for why Kerry is better than Bush, also kindly point them in the direction of all Kerry's lies, and that Kerry saw the same intelligence Bush did.

Liberal Comment:
Bush led us into the war under false pretenses.

Response:
If you hate Bush for this reason, you should also hate Kerry and top democrat leaders like those in Clinton's administration. Here are some democrat quotes about WMDs and the threat Iraq posed to us:

http://www.gop.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=3858" title="http://www.gop.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=3858" target="_blank"http://www.gop.com/News/Read....

(Don't try to argue that the WMDs are in Syria or buried somewhere unless you are confident that you can argue the point. There doesn't seem to be conclusive proof that they are there. So you're probably better off using this.)

Liberal Comment:
Iraq/Afghanistan is in turmoil, we have failed.

Response:
One year later Iraq is better off than it was before we went in.
http://www.state.gov/documents/organizatio n/30927.pdf" title="http://www.state.gov/documents/organizatio n/30927.pdf" target="_blank"http://www.state.gov/document...

One year later Afghanistan is also better off than before we went in.
http://www.developmentgateway.org/download/163273/oneye ar.htm" title="http://www.developmentgateway.org/download/163273/oneye ar.htm" target="_blank"http://www.developmentgateway...

Gay Marriage

Liberal Comment:
Gays don't have equal rights.

Response:
I am a straight man and don't have the right to marry a man. A gay man doesn't have the right to marry a man. We have equal rights, the problem is that gays want extra rights. (If they say anything about the Civil Rights, remind them that was for equal rights, and this is for extra rights. If they say anything about the right to marry who you love, tell them that people don't have the right to marry trees if they fall in love with them.)

Environment

Liberal Comment:
Bush is ignoring the Kyoto Treaty

Response:

You do know that the Kyoto Treaty was shot down 95-0 in the Senate, right? If the Senate unanimously decided against it, that means democrats and republicans alike decided against it. Funny how you liberals could have a change of heart like that.

America

Liberal Comment:
The United States has more murders than any other country.

Response:

That is completely wrong. In number of murders, the United States is 6th overall, and per capita, it is 24th overall.

I only have a few at the moment because I add them as I come across them. I will update and add current ones whenever I see fit. Feel free to suggest some.

PETA part of the Axis of Evil
02.19.04 (12:57 pm)   [edit]
Hear it

If we really believe that animals have the same right to be free from pain and suffering at our hands, then, of course we're going to be, as a movement, blowing things up and smashing windows ... I think it's a great way to bring about animal liberation ... I think it would be great if all of the fast-food outlets, slaughterhouses, these laboratories, and the banks that fund them exploded tomorrow. I think it's perfectly appropriate for people to take bricks and toss them through the windows ... Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.

What happened to the peace-loving hippies we all know and love?

It's always good to know there are people out there that would trade the lives of millions of humans, for the lives of a few lab rats.

"Even if animal tests produced a cure for AIDS, we’d be against it."

Something tells me we better get rid of those last bits of whatever diseases we're still holding on to. Because there seem to be quite a few that we've developed due to animal research. And I wouldn't put it past PETA to try and get those diseases back out there.

Be sure to sign the Anti-PETA petition. I doubt it will have any effect, but it's the least you can do.

The dirt on Kerry just keep growing
02.18.04 (2:31 pm)   [edit]
There's been 4 years to dig up dirt on Bush, and the best yall can do is this phony AWOL charge, and a so called unjust war, which was believed in by not only him, but many leading democrat figures. Yet here we are only a few months into Kerry popping up, and he's got a walk-in closet full of skeletons.

"In his book 'Stolen Valor,' B.G. Burkett points out that Mr. Kerry liberally used phony veterans to testify to atrocities they could not possibly have committed. ..."

I'll be deep in the cold cold ground before I'd ever vote for someone who will needlessly trash America's image to further what ever cause he's currently fighting for.

"Just as Mr. Kerry threw away medals only to claim them back again, Sen. Kerry voted to take action against Iraq, but claims to take that vote back by voting against funding the result."

How can voters expect a candidate to fulfill his promises, when he can't even make up his mind about wether he should accept medals, or go to war?

"AIDS is man made" conspiracy, true?
02.18.04 (2:30 pm)   [edit]
I didn't know until today, after listening to my teacher go on about his conspiracy theories, that AIDS seems to have been some evil ploy to control the world's population.

Think about it. The population is growing way too quickly for our own good. What better way to control it with a virus that would kill millions every year. It wouldn't just be killing random people, it would be killing the immoral. Those that enjoy indulging in sex at every opportunity would be the biggest targets. Granted it spreads other ways, but the majority suffering from it, get it from sex, and if you wanted a way to kill off who you thought was the most immoral, of the worlds population, it would be through an STD.

First it was the World Health Organization spreading it in Africa, disguised as a smallpox vaccine. Then it was given to gays disguised as a Hepatitis B vaccine.

I'm guessing some radical religious group is behind it, because it's the only correlation between the two targets. Your thoughts?

Kerry's Vietnam commercial is gone.
02.18.04 (2:27 pm)   [edit]
I don't know if any of you have seen those Sen. John Kerry campaign commercials, but I've, unfortunatly, seen plenty of them. However, it seems now that Kerry has backed off the whole Vietnam thing after taking multiple hits on the subject. First his futile attacks on the Bush AWOL charge. Then his "Hanoi" Jane Fonda connection surfaces. Now there isn't a Vietnam commercial anymore. Kerry is hurting in the veteran department, and I don't think he's going to recover. The democrats better shape up and start voting for Edwards.

God, Passion's harshest critic?
02.18.04 (2:26 pm)   [edit]
In Mel Gibson's new movie, the Passion, one might wonder if God really approves of how the story is being told.

During the shooting of the film, which depicts the last 12 hours in the life of Jesus, as he's beaten, tortured and crucified, the 35-year-old actor dislocated his shoulder, battled hypothermia, suffered a lung infection and pneumonia, endured eight-hour makeup sessions that left him with severe headaches and skin infections - and was struck by lightning.

I mean, being struck by lightning! How much more evidence do you really need of divine intervention?

Finally, I'm up and running.
